This is a message out to DJI, I have purchased an inspire 1 from a local distributor and it has been back ordered for the past week and a half, the delivery date was to be for today but the shipment did not come in and a new ship date is for Monday March 30th.  I want to be part of the beta team, how do I secure a spot?  Please respond.  Tahoe Ed, can you put in a good word?  You seem to be the only  DJI "rep" that responds!

Hi Ed,

I put in my app however I could not fill in the serial number or upload the flight data files as DJI has my Inspire currently. I noted that in my app. Should this be a problem?

I doubt if we will fill the 200 available slots by the 30th.  This is one of many tests that will be conducted going forward.  If you miss this one there will be more.

Thanks my friend and after all of your help and my scanning my ID it turns out that I don't qualify as I don't have a third party to capture a video of my flying. Lonely reclusive country boy here. Thanks again for you input my friend, you are a great person. We need more like you!

In this case its not defined if that 3rd party is on the ground or flying. I think a 3rd guy who will record  on camera/mobile/etc counts as 3rd party. So that means - Get a friend who can film your moves

Sorry but I have put in ID info on the registration page and copied the link into the ID field and still I get an error message. Is registration limited to some geographies only?

If it's allowed for you brave testers to talk about how the firmware is working for you while the testing period is still in effect, I'd love to hear some stories.

One would have thought that all this testing that is required, should have been done around the world before the release of the Inspire 1 & not have us a Test flight dummies who end up on the short end of the stick if something goes wrong.

I video all of my flights now with a head mounted go pro. I wonder if this would qualify as third party video?

What I read in the instructions about uploading Inspire flight data is that you need to upload one (1) flight data file that is not older than 7 days. Hope that I am correct The file that I am uploading is 'only' 243 Mb and was about 17 minutes of flight.

A gopro or iphone filming the flight from ground would be acceptable as third party video?

I mean on a stand, not via another person

Will both successful and unsuccessful candidates be notified..?

I don't have a passport so I uploaded my Drivers Licence, has photo ID and is current.
Not sure if it will be accepted, but as I don't have a current passport im hoping it will...

When I try to transfer my flight logs, the transfer speed is 1.00MB/sec which is extremely slow. What's the reason for this?

I am trying to submit my information for Beta testing but it keeps coming up with the same error all the time when I try and Submit what am I doing wrong.

Tahoe_Ed, Im on a Mac computer and I have tried all types of things to get a hold of the flight log files.

Got the SDCard.app sent from support, but does not work as intended. I cant open anything with it, its just an App window with a button that does nothing? Have connected the Inspire following the instructions in the "How to export flight data（Windows&Mac）.docx".

I have also turned on the show hidden files within the MacOS trying to locate the files on the MicroSD card, no luck. Are the flightLog files stored within the camera of the Inspire1 and not on the SDCard?

Any other user here that have managed to get the log files transferred using a mac? Ill just have to start my 6 year old PC laptop

I tried with a PDF which didn't work, but a JPG went through.

Signed up, am I brave or foolish.  The Inspire is by far the best multi I have flown so far.  Props are the weak point though in my eyes.

In the settings under the mode icon, go to advanced and scroll down to the last entry to enter into the "Black Box" drive in the Inspire.  You will need to then connect your Mac via a usb cable to the connection under the tail.  A drive will appear on your desktop.  Open the drive and you will see the flight data log files.  Remember that the Inspire creates a new log with each power up.

You will have to reregister.

Been following this thread.  Seems like not too many people are apt to jumping on the beta test.  I'm on my the fence myself.  Would like to participate but am cautious to.  

Tahoe_Ed when will be we know if we have been accepted?

Me neither.

Will be glad to participate in this testing if more testers are needed, Im guessing the dead line was not time zone specific so Im guessing I missed it since there is no link for the application. Here on the east coast is still not 3/30/15.

In case anyone was having trouble getting their flight log data off the inspire (like I was) here is how you do it.

1) Turn on Remote and connect to Dji Pilot App
2) Turn on inspire 1
3) Connect USB
4) Push the mode Icon on the top bar of the app
5) Go to Advanced Settings
6) Enter Black Box Mode
7) You should now see the inspire connected to your computer

In the participation I have: Your join request has been issued, please wait for the initiator approval
