This time you will see the 2nd battery LED flash while it upgrades the battery.


I agree we need an Inspire 1 Beta forums only for forum members who have been accepted.

Yes thanks for reminding everyone that..  I forgot to add that.  I had to do 8 of em before I was done......

A Beta forum will be very good  just until the 10th.

Beta testers, just remember this is still a public forum and your NDA advises against any disclosure.  We need to be extremely careful to ensure that no information slips out, lest DJI may decide the beta testing thing isn't a good practice for future iterations.  I'm not sure what they would consider too much information so I'm going to proceed with extreme caution until a specific forum is created (assuming one is).

Thats why I showed xx in the firmware.  Yes we cant discuss here.

Man I can't believe I missed out on this, I would have loved to be a beta tester. I enjoyed being a beta tester for MicroPros Falcon 4.0 combat flight simulator. I never seen any posts on this until the 31st. Oh well I'll keep my eyes peeled if they ever need any more.

Tahoe_Ed - Do we really need to scan our passport to participate in this program? That's a lot of sensitive data that is being asked for?

I also would like to understand the full passport scan. I would prefer a copy of my drivers license to a copy of my passport. Regardless it would have been nice to have had a longer lead time to apply /consider participation. I assume that the upcoming event is somehow associated with the timing.

Dear DJI - It would be really nice to inform all participants  - either if they are accepted or not! I was honestly waiting for an email from you. At least one where you inform me about NOT being chosen for beta. There were 78 participants (200 limit) so it wouldn't be a problem to send email to all of us.

I was a bit shocked when you did not chose me. I have more than 11hours and 111 kilometers behind me - and this does not include some long flight logs - cause your app was in beta version and did not record my flight logs.
It took me 1.5 hours to copy flight logs, another 3 hours to upload 2.2gig of flight logs. So after wasting approx. 5 hours of my time, I think you should have spent those 5 minutes to send me an email!

the beta test is already closed for now. Maybe next time if they open it you can participate.

When can we expect communication about contents and general availability date of this release? Is this Inspire app release linked to release of the Pilot app for the Phantom 3 (i.e. end of April 2015)?

I'm guessing that the Pilot app is one the same app for both the I1 and the P3. So we'll see it released when the P3 comes out - and the app release date will depend on successful testing.
If DJI have to maintain android and apple versions of multiple pilot apps it would become a nightmare after several iterations of Phantom and Inspire 1 release! Make sense to have one app and then festures are disabled in the app based on the controller / aircraft they are connected to, although, it making sensse doesnt mean it will happen!

Ok I was asked to give out my ID photo, to send logs to prove my inspire is flying, and after that no response.... can I get update on it? DJI

Is this program closed? I am back in town now and I dont see the signup button anymore.

This is the old beta forum. Send an email to beta@dji.com and ask them if you can be on the test.
