Some would say that the DJI goggles are a bit overkill for the Spark, with that in mind what do you think are the best non-DJI goggles for the spark for a decent price?

i use MAGICSEE M1 , they are perfect and connect throiugh wifi ..so no wires

I use standard issue vr googles made for use with Google Cardboard.  I pair it with the 3D FPV app and it works great.
