Well, here I go again.

Some months ago, the controller would stop charging, usually about 3 lights into the process, it would quit. Got the repair ticket, paid $95 for the repair (out of warranty, of course) and have it back, and it's worse! I got a few flights in, drawing the battery down to minimim for safe flight. Plug in the charger, and it quits after getting up past two lights. Not only is the problem not fixed, it's worse, as the charging process gives up after an even shorter time frame.

I have to say that this is unacceptable. Now what? I wonder if I'l be told that there's no warranty for the repair?

This is frustrating beyond polite words.

I would replace the battery myself.  

Or find another repair shop.
Google drone repair. you'll be amazed whats out there. (Hint) look for a place in Florida. Good folks and have terrific reviews.

I would replace the battery myself.

The battery is not user replaceable - whatever they did the last time did not fix it.

The previous case number was CAS-478661-H8C9Z8. The controller was exchanged for a new one - same problem.

Why not?  Not trying to argue.  I just don't understand why a user can't replace the battery.  I don't own a P4.

The controller is not user serviceable, unlike traditional RC controllers where we can swap out batteries in a few seconds. Further, replacement batteries are not available to purchase, unless someone knows where to get one. In short, nearly impossible.

I actually bought the drone from a DJI authorized dealer in Phoenix, AZ, I've already reached out to them for help on this one, waiting for the reply.
