Didn't know where to put this so started this as a discussion.  I hope the moderator/admin will move it.  As a newbie I got excited when I found a website that was telling me about the wind in my neighborhood.  Its telling me more than I can understand but I can see at a glance that it toooooo windy to take my new P2v+v3 out.  Maybe you guys know it already and we can use this as a thread to share few more websites. Here is what I just found out.

Click on next at the bottom right and you can get every hour for the next 4 or 5 days.

Before we got a weather station at our field, I picked up one of these. Found out the wind was usually higher than you thought it was.

There is no wind, the Earth is just spinning to fast.

Check out Wunderground.com   You can usually find a weather station in the neighborhood you are flying in.  Other than using your own anemometer, you can't get better info than that.  And remember winds aloft are much higher than close to ground.
