The fix was me going out and spending another $728.00 for an iPad Pro after DJI made my iPad mini and iPhone 6s obsolete with the new app and firmware update...

The crack team of Benjamins in my now thinner wallet fixed it... As I said before no one at DJI are of any help when it comes to the issues DJI create..

Flew today with my "NEW" iPad Pro and got some great video, no thanks to DJI.

With a little help my new rig worked with a perfectly steady video and still photos... all ya need is someone that doesn't get car sick at speed in the twisties..

Thanks guys, the inspire 2 with the X5s is just awesome as a part time car mount steady cam..

I used the Olympus 45mm lens so that I could keep a safe distance between us at speed. The only thing now is to figure out a proper setting to get the sensation of speed.
100 MPH looks like 30 with the 45mm.

Man those cardellini's clamped to the cross arms scare me a bit. Carbon fiber doesn't like stress in that direction.

Everything is set loose until the suction cups are set and then snugged up evenly.
I also ran a nylon ratchet strap across the cardellini's and around the rear hatch to prevent anything from flying off if the cups should fail..
Driving up from 1.500 ft to 7,000 ft did show the red marker in the vacuum pump but nothing more than a pump or two to make it right..

No issues at 100+mph and rock steady video...The modified Audi Allroad makes a great camera car now.

Many many people are complaining about it, what are you guys doing At DJI to fix this for those who cannot buy a new iPad? Your update rendered brand new, perfectly good hardware  useless. DJI needs to take accountability for this issue you caused. When and how ar you fixing it?

It was $728.00 plus I needed to buy a new Hoodman for $88.00

This was all unnecessary but for the new DJI app and firmware update.

We are aware this issue and are working on it if you mean the APP is easy to show 'CPU overloaded' and the image transmission gets affected. New version of APP will be release very soon, your patience will be highly appreciated.

Having not flown the Inspire 2 since May and after reading some of these update stories I decided maybe I should download the latest version firmware..Well come to find out there were two new downloads for my Inspire 2. After the downloads were complete I took it out for a quick flight. It went up to 165 feet no issues, I didn't let it out of my site ( maybe 250-300' out) after reading about the drifting issues but again it was rock solid. I have an Apple ipad not sure what model it is but it's definitely not a pro. The only bit of information regarding the model is that it's a Model MP2G2LL/A  32GB with 17GB remaining. I don't know if this will help anyone, just letting you know what I use and what the outcome was after the downloads were complete. Now, that's not to say when I get this out some distance there isn't going to be an issue, for this short flight it was as good as I could have hoped for

Got my iPad Pro 10.5 on Monday, which hoodman did you get? The only larger one is for the iPad Air and seems small?

I see them on Amazon for 69 bucks

They have an iPad Pro model not on their web site just yet give them a call..
10.5 iPad Pro model ..

Okay thanks, did you modify the DJI mount or add the extension? Cougar took his mount apart and slotted out the assembly. Sounds like a hood idea to me

The iPad 10.5 will squeeze in but I thought it was too tight so I picked up an extension since I didn't want to break the mount...
I did add a small pice of rubber weather stripping to the extension to help keep things secure.

I use the iPad pro 10.5 and it does fit, a little snug but it fits.

Nah!! Never.
But one could draw that conclusion.
Appearances can sometimes be deceiving.....

It's actually quite smart of them...since the Crystal Sky monitor is just about the same price as iPad. The only problem is you can't do as much on the Crystal Sky as you can an iPad.
