Hi, I'm new to the Spark (received it less than two weeks ago) and I have noticed a very short transmission range. I completely lose my signal at 90 meters (video, the remote still stays green) a 15mt height while it should work up to 500mt (CE 5.8G). Is it normal or have I a defective remote (or drone)? I'm very disappointed about the low range, almost unusable.
its definetly not normal, i suggest checking your settings to make sure you dont have any max distance and hight set. also be sure to read the manual, for most things its a joke to read the manual but for drones you absolutely need to. especially for DJI drones!

He loses the siganl, so it can't be the beginner mode?!?
Try to fly higher, 15m is not enough for a good distance. And make sure the Antennas are pointing with the LONG side to the spark.
The 500m is only possible under ideal conditions and at 120m height!
Like you I had 100m range at about 40m high. You need to turn off your Phones bluetooth (this helps a bunch just on its own) and change the frequency from 5.8 to 2.4. This increased my range from a seriously dodgy 100m up to a fairly reliable 300m. You'll struggle over 300m due to the EU laws on wifi transmission strength.
Hello, the wireless network can be negatively affected by interference from the work of household appliances and powerful Bluetooth devices, try to diagnose the network and signal power with a wifi signal strength meter https://www.netspotapp.com/wifi-signal-strength.html . In the past, I repeatedly solved problems with poor quality of signal reception within the network with the help of this service, I hope to help get rid of the gaps.
