Always used the app to take off and launch.  I tried the CSC command on my RC yesterday, but the Spark's motors only powered up about half throttle, not enough to lift off the ground.  Just sat there.
I pushed left stick down, and that caused Spark to "land" and motors stop.

CSC only starts the motors, to take off you then push the throttle up. Otherwise it's sits there in idle
