Is there a way to "RESET" the Phantom 2 Vision + SMART battery?
I had a 4months old (only 43flights) battery go "BAD", so the error message keeps telling me. However, today I tried it out and it flew 18mins before it hit the warning. I landed her at that point. The whole time it(phantom) flashed RED lights at me warning that my better was bad and the error message was on the screen. Everything work find! No crash. I'd like to RESET the battery and see if the error message comes back or not. Please Help!  Thanks

- The battery is not swollen
- Only has 49 flights
- 5 months old
- Discharged it to 8% and charged it again, same error.
- Flown it with "Error" for 18 mins and it worked fine.

There is no reset as far as I know but what does it say your voltage levels are when you are connected to your pt2 program on the battery page for each cell?

You don't get any error message when connected to the program?

Other than the yellow triangle on the bottom of screen no.  The error is on the app on my iphone5s.  Also when I use the battery I get the tail light on the phantom blinking fast red.  Put my other battery in and every thing is good.

Gerry - is that right you only discharged it twelve times and its no good ?

Yup, it was dropped off the table.  I still use it to do updates and calibrations, but no flying with it.

No, but that is the message I get on the DJI App on the iphone5s but not when connected to computer.

Your voltages are all real close.  Is your app on the phone updated to the latest?

Yes it is.  I even deleted it from my phone and reinstalled it.  I have no issues with anyother battery, only this one.

Everything on the page looks good,  Do you get the message every time you fly with it?
Have you drained the battery to 8% and do a full recharge?

Yes, with this battery only.  Not with any others.

Yes I did.  Twice now.  I drained it couple weeks ago and again today down to 8% and did a full recharge, still same.  Flown it today in close proximity to myself for 18min with the error message on the screen to test the battery and see if it would drop charge quickly or remain normal.  Is seem to remain normal like my other batteries.

Lights on the  battery seem to be in sync with the app battery reading too.....

can you try using a good contact type cleaner on battery side terminals, may as well do the quad side as well while at it..
would also be curious if it did same on a different phantom.

hummm....... I do have a buddy that got the same phantom I have..... Gotta give him a call and try that...

get ken argos ultimate flight program - only like $10.....  besides neat additional features, it will record your telemetry every second, including batt voltage amp-hours used, life left,  and real time current.  you will see from this log on your phone what the pv2 thinks your voltage is and at different current draws.... from this you can see what that batteries internal resistance is and help diagnose where the issue is.

"Damaged Cell Warning, not recommend to flight"

I tried the battery today on my friends phantom and it gave me the same message.  Must be the battery.  However, I put it in my phantom....... I know taking a risk....... and flew it from 98% down to 47% power with no issues.

Got the same problem. See no solution of this problem.

I guess your right without getting the data to explain it.  

Ultraflight - just use it once if you dont like it, with log on, post the log here.  folks will look at the 10+ columns of battery data and I bet someone comes up with explanation why.  Once why is explained, then you can go on to a solution.

If you have disabled "pop up windows" on PC, you wont get warning.
By the way. have you inspected/ cleaned the tiny communication pins on battery ?

where do I download this app.  I have the same problem... Did an update, and then it popped off the battery warning.  Then it wouldn't charge in the charger.  I was able to charge it by putting it in a vise with the button pushed.

I have a weird problem with my battery. I don't remember charging it and i checked the other day and the light's blink between 2 and 3. Then i run the program and see what it shows ...
