I came across this video on youtube, and I think it is actually brilliant idea. Maybe DJI can develop some kind of "floating kit" (snap on like the prop guards), so that you can snap it on when flying over the river/ sea.

That will never ever happen.  Side note:  awesomely entertaining video.

I like the idea as an added safety measure but wouldn't deliberately land on water. Can't see DJI releasing a version.

Great idea! It’s about time someone makes this product. Helpful if out on a paddle board/kayak especially when you’re limited.

Any idea what the added weight will do to the flight time? Would be useful to know.
