Do you have the Inspire 2 or the Inspire 1 ??
You would NOT be using the Go app 4 for the Inspire 1 with the X5, that is for the Inspire 2 . ONLY use the Go app for the Inspire 1 - The go app 4 is only gong to muddy things up trying to dagnose the issue on the Inspire 1 . Stick with the Go App .
If you have a NO image problem but can take video and photos to the SD card then first make sure you are up to date on the AC and the RC . Or on at least compatible FW. It is critical that the go app is a pprved device with a fast processor. enven though it may have worked in the past , the latest updats use a TON of processing power.
Once you confirm that you are up to date or on at least compatible Firmware , you will want to check the hidden file on the SD card , Look at lines 0800 and 1500. If your system has No live video but all else works then look on these 2 lines of code for the
"Device Not Detected" warning . If you have it then the camera at the very least will need to go in for repair . NO way around it .
If you have a blue light on the AC then you may be locked in Travel mode , You will not be able to update the AC till you get out of travel mode. This would occur if you udated the RC before the AC .
did you update the AC ? If so to what version are you on NOW ?
did you update the RC? If so what version is that on NOW .
Can you currently start the mtors on the AC ?
If you updated the RC and the AC you may have lost communication connection , You may need to re ink the two . ONLY do this if you are up to date or at the very least on compatible FW.
What are you using for the Go app ? Is it an approved device ? If it is not a fast enough processor , the video may not be able to be seen , .
the fastest one out there I know of is the I pad pro with the A10 processor .
Is the only problem NO live vido on the Go app ? If so then look at the hidden file , Link below on how to do it .

So please calrify the above and we can go from there . NEED MORE INFORMATION TO HELP YOU BETTER
IMPORTANT **** When you say the go APP was NOT connecting , what did it say ? was it "Aircraft Disconnected " Red backround , white lettering meaning the AC and the RC are not commumicating, may need to be re linked or the updates are not compatible with one another , perhaps you updated the AC and then forgot to update the RC or the other way around . You may just need to re link the Ac to the RC, they loose connection sometiems after an update .
If it says " Diconnected " in white lettering with gray backround then the RC and go app are NOT communicating, this could be because of a bad port on the RC or bad cable between the
RC and Go app device.
