I have the Inspire 1 Pro with the X5 camera, I use two controllers.
I have update my firmware to the latest version 1.11.01.50
So my aircraft is 1.11.01.50
My DJI App 3.1.13
my remote is 1.7.80
My camera is 1.11.1.50

I have already re-seated the ribbon cable for the camera and there are no visible issue with the cable.

Please any help is greatly appretiated.

I once had this issue and accidentally removed the SD card and the image came back.  Check to see whether there is a signal without an SD in the cam.  If so, format the card.

Theres quite a few people, myself included, who have suddenly started getting this issue in the last few weeks.

What mobile device are you using and what version of the DJI app you have?

Have a feeling it's the on going issue with the firmware upgrades... I too have this issue.

One way to determine if it is, do you get the message saying CPU Overload prior to the video feed cutting out? If so, or even prior to run the iPad and such in direct cooling (air conditioning is what I tried) to see if that fixes things. If not, consider make sure that the gimbal / camera is properly and securely connected.

My camera is able to take picture and record fine, what I'm not able to do is see the live image on any of my ipads.

To your question I dont get any error message about CPU, the only error I get is the "no image transmission signal"

I've used both an iPad air 2 and a galaxy s7.

for whatever reason, my feed works sometimes and not others, even in the same location. when it does work it can be choppy (partially loadings the video feed as a frozen frame on screen) or it can work for a while and then stop for no good reason again (I thought it might have been something to do with the landing gear being up or down for a while, if the drone got a jolt or sudden breeze, or even the direction it would be facing but none of these showed consistent results)

the only thing that changed between when the drone was working and then stopped working (as in when I first got this issue it didn't happen mid flight which makes me think it's not a hardware failure) was that the app on my devices had auto-updated to the latest versions (both IOS and Android) and the problem occurred on startup.

there were no firmware changes between when it was and wasn't working.

The only real solid information I can contribute is that as of now, I get it to work more often when using the Galaxy S7 than on the iPad. I assume theyre 2 different versions of the app. also the galaxy s7 becomes nearly unusable when the app is "open" in the background (aka, I haven't gone to my list of open apps and killed it) when im done flying. to me that stinks of the new versions of the app demanding too many resources to decode the video.

so to test it out, does anyone know how to download legacy versions of the Go app so I can try out my theory?

Mike , try a faster processor on the Go app like and I pad Pro and test it out . This is often the problem with choppy video , the processor is not fast enough .
also read my tips page . This will help when having choppy issue .  If NO LIVE VIDEO  at all you need to bake sure you are on compatible firmware with the system and then look at the  hidden file .  Lines 0800 and 1500 of code tel the story on that .

Unfortunately I've no access to an iPad pro.

The reason this is annoying me is because it's so intermittent and unpredictable.

It's only been happening since the start of may, and looking back through the list of recent version of the go app, there was a release at the end of April which made some changes to the streaming system.

I don't have those files your talking about at the moment, but the fact that it's not happening all the time (just most) makes me think that it's not the issue that you've highlighted in those posts.

I'd like to know if there's any way I can get access to the version of the go app from before the end of April and test it out. I've alot of work coming up this month and I don't have the 15days necessary to send the drone in for repairs, so I need to get this working.

Do you have the latest Go App  installed ? If so be sure you are on the latest FW on the AC and the RC .  I am not aware of any Go apps , older versions that are out there, If you happen to have I tunes and  have your I pad synced up to it and it is NOT auto updated  a copy could be there .


slim chance I know , that is why I do NOT have auto update on My I Pad because I want to control when my system gets updated .

You could also try another Device Not necessarily an I pad Pro but Like an I pad air ( later version with fast processor )  or a Mini as long as it is version 4 .

wish I had better news for ya

***You are correct , if it is itermittint video problem it is Not  the "dreaded  'DEVICE NOT DETECTED" on lines 0800 and 1500

Unfortunalty you are going to need to send that camera in for repair .

did you happen to have the RC transmitter on when you updated the AC ?OR did you leave the FW update on the Sd card and then try to connect the RC to the aircraft ??

The above will NOT always cause it but it can , was this the way it was in your case ??

I've used Cloud City Drone in Rhode Island.
I think my current situation is almost the same as yours.
So, were you able to get this resolved?  
Any idea whether it can be solved without bringing it in to a shop? It seems crazy to need to bring it in if it is just a software issue. I'm up in Amesbury, MA and it's a hell of a drive.

I'm running the same Inspire 1 Pro X5 set-up with Dual Controllers and just came up with the same problem after updating. I also left the update on the SD card and might have cause the problem that way. (I also get the message "gimbal disconnected" and "Radio Channel Quality" as seen in the aircraft status on DJI Go 4, and I get a solid blue light on the aircraft Status indicator. DJI GO wasn't connecting. when I tried to use that app instead.

Do you have the Inspire 2 or the Inspire 1 ??
You would NOT be using the Go  app 4 for the Inspire 1 with the X5, that  is for the Inspire 2 . ONLY use the Go app for the Inspire 1 -                                                                      The go app 4 is only gong to muddy things up trying to dagnose the issue on the Inspire 1 . Stick with the Go App .

If you  have a NO image problem but can take video and photos  to the SD card  then first make sure you are up to date on the AC and the RC . Or on at least compatible FW.  It is critical that the go app is a pprved device with a fast processor.  enven though it may have worked in the past , the latest updats use a TON of processing power.

Once you confirm that you are up to date or on at least compatible Firmware , you will want to check the hidden file  on the SD card ,  Look at lines 0800 and 1500.  If your  system has No live video but all else works then look on these 2 lines of code for the
"Device Not Detected" warning .  If you have it  then the camera at the very least will  need to go in for repair . NO way around it .
If you have a  blue light on the AC then you may be locked in Travel mode , You will not be able to update the AC till you  get out of travel mode.  This would occur if you udated the RC before the AC .
did you update the AC ? If so to what version are you on NOW ?

did you update the RC?  If so what version is that on NOW .

Can you currently start the mtors on the AC ?
If you updated the RC and the AC you may have lost communication  connection , You may need to re ink the two .  ONLY do this if you are up to date or at the very least on compatible FW.

What are you using for the Go app ?  Is it an approved device ?  If it is not a fast enough processor , the video may not be able to be seen ,  .
the fastest one out there I know of is the I pad pro with the A10 processor .

Is the only problem NO live vido on the Go app ?  If so then look at the hidden file  , Link below on how to do it .

So please calrify the above and we can go from there . NEED MORE INFORMATION TO HELP YOU BETTER  
IMPORTANT **** When you say the go  APP was NOT connecting  , what did it say  ? was it "Aircraft Disconnected "  Red backround , white lettering  meaning the AC and the RC are not commumicating, may need to be re linked or the updates are not compatible with one another , perhaps you updated the AC  and then forgot to update the RC or the other way around .  You may just need to re link the Ac to the RC, they loose connection sometiems after an update .

If it says " Diconnected " in white lettering with gray backround then the RC and go app are NOT communicating, this could be because of a bad port on the RC or bad cable  between the
RC and Go app device.

AC = aircraft
RC  = transmitter
