I just finished a flight. When I pressed rth, the spark descended and started to wobble very hard on 40m alt. I panicked but it recovered. Now I read about the vrs wobble on fast descents.
Does that vrs make rth dangerous? If so, I have to descend with horizontal movement? Kinda sucks...

Ok vortex ring, I thought dji had solved this by reducing descend speed to max 3/4 m/s max, it would seem strange that it would be reappearing in there smallest drone. Haven't seen it myself yet

Personally haven't seen it at all in any of our aircraft in a long time. Doubt it's affecting his Spark. Need more evidence to make a conclusion.

Well i don't know if it was VRS. I just saw it wobbling pretty hard. Today was a bit windy an again it started to wobble during hover. I hope i don't have an issue with it...

Vortex ring is caused by descending to quickly to straight creating downwash and causing AC to go into a unrecoverable downfall, to stop this you have to descend at an angle. Dji AC are designed to limit speed of descending to avoid this happening, if it were happening it would only be in sport mode.

The fact that similar is happening in hover tells me it's not VR so maybe try it on a not so windy day.

The first time it happened on rth when descending from 150m. It happened at about 40m alt. It came down like a stone and was wobbling. I think it was VRS. That day was no wind at all. I am a bit unsure if it would happen again and i am scared a bit to loose my Drone in a rth maneuver.

If it looks like it is happening again and you have enough altitude just fly forward this will take you out of VRS.
