Hey!  I just wanted to put this out there as I had trouble tracking it down on the internet and with DJI support.

My setup:
Inspire 1 and Dual 'motes w/ 2.0.17
Nexus 7 I w/ Android 4.4.2

Process:
Make sure all 3 elements have latest firmware.  Make sure each controller is set to Master and Slave per the instructions in the manual.

Request gimbal control on Slave.  Turn off Slave.  Disconnect tablet.

Connect tablet to Master.  

Turn on Slave.  

Wait 20 Seconds.

Click 'accept' on Master Tablet.

Boom.  Good to go.

Interesting. A nice concept. I can see the head on collisions now with two heads fighting to view the Tablet.

haha.  agreed.  definitely have to trust the communication and the dp and keep the eyes on the bird.  stil need more than one tablet for optimum experience.  but this will help those limp along after busting the bank.  

Thank you very much for this information, it was very helpful for testing the two controllers with only one mobile device and give all the control of the camera to the slave controller.
