     So, the downgrade sounds like the recommendation right now.  With the downgrade, do you still have Tripod?  Somehow, my DJI GO 4 is ver. 4.1.3 not ver. 4.1.2.  So, I do not have Tripod on my P4.

2 serial numbers in the 3's and 1 in the 5 so far. It would be interesting to see if some of the ones with issues chime in with their #'s to see if there is a trend

I don't have flight stability issues on my P4 (serial no 07DDD3J) and I did calibrate the IMU afterwards.

However, you mentioned turning the P4 around on the second last step which is something I did not do but it gave me pause for thought as I suspected the diagram might not be quite right or open to interpretation. i.e. I laid the P4 back on its battery without turning it around.

There are other videos making the same "mistake", not turning the drone around at step 5/6.




Yet, in the DJI official tutorial they do it exactly like in the picture:

I would like to know this too. I did EXACTLY like DJI reccomends. Mine seems unstable when coming straight down. Last three flights no wind warnings but basically no wind. Mine was doing gimbal dance filming in 4K 30 FPS. Sometimes 30 seconds sometimes 10 mins of filming it would occur. Just been filming 24 fps since. Seems faster and different as far as handling. Hope dji figures all this out soon.

I'm not convinced that turning it around at those steps makes any difference but, in any case, I did follow the instructions exactly on several occasions and the drone still bucked and was generally unstable. I'm more inclined to believe what some others have stated which is that the reason that only some (many) drones are affected is due to some subtle chipset differences.

Jester, wanted to know if the 4K / 30fps issue is common for everyone. Could you confirm if you have a problem with gimball resetting on its own every now and then? Might take few batteries worth of flying and recording for it to come up.

My update was similar as someone else mentioned; Update through Ipad mini 2, all fine until 99% complete, waited for 15 mins, restarted craft and update successful. Updated RC afterwards. IMU, Compass etc calibrated OK, first flight had VPS problems after takeoff so calibrated it and works OK. I have no issues flying, at least with stability. Only flight related problem I suspect is, speed in sport mode is not as good as it was, and I can see power percentage on GO app fluctuate between 60.. 80% with no wind, flying straight as fast as possible. I suspect the angle of attack it is oscillating when flying fast forward, and therefore speed is reduced.

Only problem I really care about is that gimball issue. Well, not to mention completely lost trust regarding DJI support (direct questions without responses, scripted answers, answers not related to my questions.. plain buying time).

I am not close to my serial sticker now, can add it later.
