So..... my gimbal has been possessed, need a priest ASAP.

In all seriousness, this started happening randomly and has been going on ever since. It has never crashed ever since being repaired by DJI and has not had any hard landings that could have damaged the gimbal in any way, shape, or form. I always hand catch the P3S anyways because of the fear of tipping the drone when landing in ground effect. Anybody know why this would be going on?

I had the same issue. The issue is with the cable that goes into the camera coming loose inside the camera.

Zsolti has saved the day, check the ribbons on your gimbal, not the ones closest to the aircraft, but the black ones that plug into the camera

Unfortunately, the fix did not work for long and now my gimbal is completely dead

The ribbon could have been damaged by the crazy movements of the gimbal. I suggest you send it in for repair.
