Hi guysThere is a new dji go 4 version 4.1.4
Some have it and some dont, its not on play store yet well wasnt for me?
In the new version there is now video record in gesture mode.. I have not tested it but when you go through the gesture tutorial on the app it is present...
Also there is the option now for the gimbal tilt speed like the other dji drones...
I have a video showing these new changes take a look and if you get chance to try the video record in gesture mode please let us know...

To give credit where credit is due, looks like they've been listening to some of the feed back. These features are exciting additions for us.

For video gesture I think you will need FW update, which will be coming sometime this week. Gimbal speed was badly needed looking forward to that.

You don't need to update the FW, the video record gesture is controlled by the app only.

Hmm, I doubt that, have you tried it? Pretty sure you need the firmware.
If, just like you said that it is controlled by the app, then when you do not connect to the app, you cannot record video by gesture?

Still the 0400 fw. No update available at startup. Would be strange to have the gesture with no function?!?

i think at the Moment you can only use the gesture with the phone connected. Same like the Selfies. Good qulaity with phone, bad with no phone. Dji makes distinctions. For whatever reason.

And, the gesture you see in the video just the tutorial for gesture mode, I am still quite sure you need the firmware update to make it work. And since they confirmed firmware will be out this week so it is also not so strange as you think.

I am waiting for the updated iOS Version.. then i will test it. I waited a long time for this gesture ;)
No you can track yourself as long as your battery runs.

i think android users have the update before iphone users because they have been having more problems with android as far as i can tell! so basically to keep them quiet!

I think until we hear from somebody using it, it's probably best to wait.

Hmm,not really so,because as I said,only a fee Androids users got update (especially Samsung),not all.I am using Nexus 6 and still do not have the update.That is why it seems strange

Normally dji should roll out the fw before the app?

Forgive me for sounding harsh but i didn't say that all android users have it, I only believe that its why only android users are getting it first. maybe their releasing it first as a test program? this is only speculation.

i have an S8 and i haven't received android update yet for DJI app

haha! yes we are, im waiting on my iPad mini 2 , a friend is going to be shipping hers.. i cant take app the fly away app crashes i get.. i had 5 so far. and that's 5 too many.

I ha 4.1.4. The gesture won't work until new firmware. They just added the tutorial for it to app.

I think it's one of the supported Android devices. I got mine two days ago.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

no updates here at all for firmware or application

You will probably find that once both OS have the updated app in the store they will release the firmware update. One of the mods said the new FW is no longer in beta and should be released soon.

Like I said Guys, I have not tested the gesture for video. Just noticed it in the tutorial. But at least the gimbal speed is definitely working so that is good so far

Whats it say in the tutorial? How is it activated?
never mind, i just saw the video, arm up at 45 degrees while tracking to start and stop recording.

Installed yesterday haven't tired the Selfie video recording yet.

Gimbal speed

Guys, I have just talked to DJI support at this time I made this comment. The version 4.1.4 is currently only available to a few beta users. So don't find it strange if you not yet have the update.
And even though DJI Natalie did say the firmware update will be soon and within this week, but if they find the glitch, it will be delayed,

software release doesn't happen immediately throughout the world.. wait for it..

Just got the update from App Store in malaysia at 2pm (GMT +8, 25 Jul).
I'm not in beta... again DJI can't know who is beta in app store or play store.. they can only control beta deployment when you login with ur dji account in the DJI GO 4 app

Germany, Samsung Galaxy S8, no FW update, no new DJI Go 4 App 4.1.4 in Android store.
... so gotta be patient.
