Hey, has anyone tried out the new features for Spark as advertised on the new DJI GO 4 update? So far I checked its like there's no new toggle or options.

Just got the update this morning.  I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but for iOS users here is the change log.

my iphone 6 version 10.3.3 updated,dji 4 4.1.4

One would think that with new gesture controls there would be a firmware update with this.  I connected after the app update and there didn't appear to be any.

DJI stated that a firmware update will be released this week. Fingers crossed.

no the gimbal works for Spark ..now

Couldn’t see how to change quick shots direction when I tested earlier. Oh, and dronie still doesn’t go up.

I don't see an IOS update for my DJI Go 4 Spark. Why would that be?

i went to the app store this morning and the update popped up for me.

just got the update would try features later today

Gimbal smoother, trace or follow is much more responsive, it actually attacked me flew 2inches above my head, while I was looking down at screen listening to dji Mary giving out prompts so will have to try that again. Keep RC handy until you get used to these new gestures, my advice.

Stood in field doing the Hitler's dance , may as well have been scaring sheep, because this is not working, although dirk52 said it doesn't need firmware update I'm not so sure.

We also could do with some of those very informative video tutorials .

sidenote.. still no update on android for me..not that it matters right now seeing as my spark is in a box and on a truck back to amazon... still tho..  im still on the fence about jumping to $1000 mavic pro (my gf says i shouldn't!)  so if DJI can correct spark in a update and a app update....come idk, next week-ish... i can listen to my GF and not spend $1000 xD  otherwise im just going to annoy her and get a mavic...

I know that annoy...Gf vs hobby...
My gf (who is my wife now) used to threaten that she would burn by motorbike just because I spent more time with it ) Now the Spark....
Hopefully because DJI has accepted the error, they will start doing serious work to fix the issues, rather than just "promise"

ya LOL that's true, have to balance things..

my GF is mostly upset with the price..   she sees all drones as a "toy"  that includes mavic or spark or even the inspire series.. RIP  so it was hard enough getting her ok to spend $700 on the spark with fly more combo.

This is the best update they made and they don't even advertise it for the Spark.

i think they would need a firmware update to fix this, not an app update. correct me if im wrong.

I have been trying for nearly three hours to download the Spark update.  I'm told the controller is connected to my network and the prompt to downlaod appears.  Yet when I press download, I'm told I need to connect to a network first -- AFTER I'VE JUST BEEN TOLD I'M CONNECTED!!!

I updated this morning, AC, RC and all the batteries. Plus the app store had the Go 4 update, so everything is current. I don't see the new Pano 180 mode anywhere. Has anyone seen it? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place - I would think it would be with the other modes but it's not.
The good news is, it now reports the correct battery to Airdata so I don't have to manually change it every time.

It is for me. Using iphone 7 plus plus spark and RC all with latest fireware.

I now have 3 options of pano when I press the pano option - the two we had perviously plus the new 180 one.

Nevermind, had a senior moment or something, Pano is a camera option, not a mode. It appears to be working.

I updated today also, but no 180 pano option under Pano.  Also, no gimbal speed adjustment.

try uninstalling the app and clear cache then re install... worked for me

Ditto this morning for me also. In the field on cellular data. Hope these don't come through too often or I will be bankrupt from cell data fees.

Saw the new firmware changelog, and updated.
A nice change when the Gesture and Activetrack photos are now captured in 4K (probably 3840x2160 or the other resolution) but still no 1080p 24/25fps or RAW image.
