Before take-off calibrate compass and IMU

  

Started after good GPS first 10 m2 straight up ( it should help the position fix)

  

  

  

Lot’s of goodies are on the way, ND filters, extra batteries, OTG cable none of them works so far, etc.

You have to be at leats 20m away from the home point. Unless, this is the normal behavior.

Start off the fly was 10 m2 up then fly around 8 minutes.

I was at least 80m away and 50 meters up.

Tried it 50m away and below the 30 RTH setting ( so it should go up )

beginner mode turned is off

RTH to home doesn't always work as advertise. i have it set return to home at current altitude and at time it either goes up or starts flying away and i have to cancel the RTH.

Go into the settings and set RTH Features, Hover, Land or RTH

You can't set return to home at current altitude to do this you need to be within 20 metres, you should really read the manual it will give you all the options.

There are many different settings for RTH read your manual and familiarise yourself with it, it's really important you have RTH set properly otherwise you will end up in a lake river or up a tree.

You also don't need to calibrate anything before you take off, unless you are prompted to.

Changed it so RTH will return in 20m and now the return from 200 m also works.
still of by couple meter for return from home point.

24 min was on two batteries.
  

My first pilot error, fly it back myself did not trust the RTH function, was in a hurry because it started to rain and a lot of wind the wind brushed a small obstacle.

Where can I buy spare parts the grey ring under the led cover is broken, not even a scratch on the drone.
And of course glue works but is it for sale somewhere.

Within 20M it always will land, over 20M you can pick what it does (So I thought anyway... you can on the Mavic)

Within 20m you can set in app to RTH if altitude is lower than 2.5m aircraft will ascend to 2.5 m and RTH if it's higher it will RTH at that height. If you don't set in the app then it will just land.

There is no option to hover in any of RTH .

Kidding, may take a while but I think only dji, maybe a moderator might be able to help you out.

For Spark, we different conditions for RTH procedure which has introduced by the users manual: But if the drone could have returned but not, I would recommend syncing the flight record and I'll check for this case.
Besides, we do not suggest repairing the drone by users themselves, since the damage caused by unauthorized modification, disassembly, or shell opening not in accordance with official instructions or manuals will not be covered by warranty according to DJI After-Sales policy. We suggest sending it back to our official repair center for maintenance if the drone needs to be repaired in the future.

Spark can not set the RTH features after failsafe, it is RTH by default.

12 minutes per battery is expected run time..  i do love DJI has on screen estimate that constantly adjusting and is fairly accurate....


also that's incredible amount of damage wind did, how much wind was there?  i have had my Spark fly into a tree at full speed (20+mph) and not break anything off..not even the props.  admittingly was half my error half the spark disconnecting  mid flight. i shouldn't have buzzed it into that area at full speed...forgot my spark has a thing for death..
