I have the RC antennas at 45deg up and I am facing the drone at all times. The greatest distance I have ever gotten away from myself horizontally has been 80m, greatest height 100m. In Australia we have a 120m ceiling for drone operation and have to remain at least 30m away from anyone who is not operating the drone. This gives me a flight height range of 35m-120m vertical and given the small size of spark probably
45 deg is wrong !! You must have antenna on 90 deg and target flat antenna side on drone (not top of the antenna on drone) !! You understand?

An example of the right direction .. I apologize for the quality :-).
Ok will see if that improves things today. What is the recommendation if the drone is basically over head? And if the drone is at a point on your image above the left hand star so at 45deg out in front of you? Should I tilt the controller?
Thanks for the assistance.

Yes, you aim flat part of antenna all time to drone.
Ok Tested this today with an OTG cable and the connection was solid for both flights. I flew both with about 10min break between down to 30% battery, out to 80m horizontal and vertical. No drop outs or errors. It is a different system with antennas oriented and iPhone wifi turned off. Thanks for your time and help, this is what a forum should be.

I'm glad to I helped You. I wish You lots of good shots!
I got lots of good shots yesterday.. Processed this product in Pix4D for a little bushland site. Plenty of detail and texture. It's a shame that DJI downgraded the capability of the geotagging and SRT files on Spark. The sensor is actually quiet nice.
Sorry for your experience, I have look into the log , the temperature seems to be ok. There was obvious magnetic-field interference from the ground when compared with the condition in air. So this happened when it land near ground. This is ok, if you change for another clear place. For the temperature warnning, I would like to get a app shot then I can go on with it.
