Hello!

I have a (hope not) dumb question if somebody could help me On the DJI GO 4 app you have an option that says sync HD photo. This option saves you photos directly to your phone - that is great - but I didn't find any option, that would enable me to save this photos to the SD card in the phone and not to the internal memory. The problem is, if you are trigger happy like me you have a bounch of photos.... Did anyone manage to find a solution for this? I'm using a galaxy S7 with android 7, and DJI GO 4 4.1.4

tnx

You can find this option when you connect the drone, RC and the app. It's on the camera settings, here's the screenshot for your reference: webwxgetmsgimg.jpg

Yeah, but he wants to save those HD photo's to the SD Card of his phone, not his internal memory. Android allows for an extra SD card.

Yes, that is what I'm looking for - how to save the photos from Sync HD to the SD card of the phone, and not to the internal memory

If the option isn't there in the app, it's likely something that could be done via Tasker.  I've not checked/tried but it's something I will be looking in to, since this would be a very useful feature.

I also was thinking to use an external app (not the GO 4). But I think (and I know I'm not the only one) that the app should have a option like this (save to SD card) by default.... If anyone finds a solution (beside the suggested Tasker) please let me (us) know. If I figure it out myself I will post it

Have you tried to sync photos with the Tasker app? I didn't find a solution yet. If I don't find any other way, I will invest into the Tasker app and try it

I haven't tried it yet, I'll give it a go when I get the chance.  I'm far from a Tasker expert, but a quick Google implies it's possible.

I'll let you know when I get to test it out properly.

OK, had a quick 10mins to research the Tasker option. It seems it should be possible to do automated based on the file being created, however, from reading it seems a bit of a faff and could cause issues/loops.

And easy option, that I've already tested on a couple of photos I took at the weekend with the DJI app, is to simply trigger the moving of photos when you exit the DJI app.

In Tasker, set the following to occur on DJI Go Exit:
  • List Files (on DJI Album folder located on internal memory)
  • For each File, move to predfined folder on SD card.

I can share the Tasker XML if you want, but it's easier to do when I get home.

Great! tnx I would realy appreciate if you could share the XML. So now we can save the photos to the folder that we wish they are in

OK, never shared Tasker XML before, so hopefully this works OK.  Obviously, just need to check/change source and destination folders.  Let me know how you get on.  Only tested with 2 JPEGS I already had in my DJI folder, will test it out properly during next flight with JPG & DNGs.  Actually, do DNGs also sync to the phone or is it just JPGs?

Thank you for the XML I will try it and change the directories to my specific ones. I thing that it only saves (syncs) jpeg files. But I didn't try to set it to create also the raw files. Will try it and let you know.
