I updated DJIGO 4, Spark and RC today with all of the new firmware updates.
Restarted all devices.
Tested distance limit feature in Dronie Quickshot as low as 15 m away and it failed every time, traveling over 40m from subject.

Also, when I had to push the joystick forward to stop the drone hitting trees, the screen message said "QuickShot has ended. Aircraft is flying back to the start point."
Which it didn't do.

Yup same here. That's the first thing I tried and it failed. I even reinstalled the app. Something is wrong . I set dronie to 10m and goes to 45-50 and keeps going . Had to hit the red x to stop it

This was the one feature I had hoped they would have fixed... sigh.

I don't use the flight modes. I act like they don't exist. Instead I always use OTG with remote and fly to my hearts content

I am not able to open the dropbox link for some reason, could you please also export the flight data?  Then upload the black box data and the flight data to dropbox again.

Same here. Sparky is not gaining any altitude while taking a dronie shot. Bummer because that is the one flight mode I was planning to use on my trip to Hawaii next week

Pretty silly comment considering DJI marketed and sold these drones primarily for this reason.

I have a Phantom if I want to fly without intelligent flight modes.

For outings with the family I want to use the Spark due to it's portability and claimed quick shots....

I tried dronie 8 times today, 2 times it did not gain altitude. Remaining 6 times altitude gained is little. It flew back for 40m but gained only 2m or less altitude. The gradient is 2/40 = 1/20 which in my opinion is totally not enough.

Also, the max distance setting in dronie still does not work{:4_154:}

Sorry for the crash, what is the error message you've got? If it is possible, please try other computers. Is the drone damaged?

I also launched the update. @ about 66% the wifi disconnects and asks for PW. Doesn't accept PW. Tried 20 times. Since the update doesn't continue without wifi connectivity, I decided to reset wifi by 'forget network'. Now I feel I shouldn't hv done that. Well, after 30 minutes one gets fed up... Should I shut down and restart the bird?

I would recommend you upgrade it again, via DJI Assistant 2.

All well. Restarted the bird. It took a few reboot times, before accepting the PW, although program marked the download as complete.

Hmmmm. It's very strange as it's working for me? I always reduce the distance to 35 and it goes back and up. What would cause such different experiences?
Software?
Hardware?

Seems to work about the same for me pre and post update.  Goes straight back as it should but the ascension is still pretty flat.  The picture they use for the dronie icon makes it seem like it should go back on like a 45 degree angle.

+1. New firmware 01.100.0500 didnt resolve the Dronie Quickshot altitude problem. I tried about 8 times, Black Box and Flight Data Here:

I used a windows machine and it worked. I could save the data. How can I give these data to you?

My Spark was damaged yes but it seems just a propeller.

Prior to several flights today the DJI GO 4 App notified me once the Spark was connected via wifi that Inconsistent Firmware Found - Incompatibility issues may occur between some modules and the device.  Contiue update?'
I moved the slider to do the updtate, Spark rebooted.
I then rebooted all devices and did a test flight of Dronie and Helix.
I was hopeful that maybe this was the issue with why some QuickShots were not working.
But there was no change, the Dronie and Helix QuickShots still failed.
