Updated app now maps isnt working in app. Says home point updated but doesn't show its location or even where I'm at on map. Just a grey screen. Also gimbal adjustment you added isn't working right either. Showing no values. So now I have garbage firmware and garbage dji go app. Get your act together please. WOW!! P4 IPad Pro 9.7

Just went back to DJI go 4.1.3 and it's back to normal. Besides firmware issue still.

Have you checked your map is set for sat' image, basic street map is grey if zoomed right in, also check in DJI Go 4 that 'show flight route' is enabled.

Seems OK here on current firmware and iPad Mini 4.  No noticeable change from 4.1.3 that I see yet.

02.00.016 aircraft stops recording 4K 30fps after few minutes of recording. Aircraft seems unstable in hover and descending.

Updated to 4.1.5 and still no map. Again down graded to 4.1.3

Well took a drive today with iPad and map started working again. Weird when I would downgrade it was fine. Oh well working now.

If I lock rotation in maps and close app and reopen all is fine. If I turn on rotation in map and close app and reopen map is greyed out. Can you try this?

There is one good thing the app fixed.  For the first time ever, I am able to dynamically update the home-point to where I am using my Ipad.   Unfortunately, the camera is unreliable in 4K 30fps which is how I like to shoot.  Fortunately, I have not experienced any of the flight stability issues others have from the latest firmware update.

How long does it normally take for the camera to become unreliable? I'm 6 minutes in and still working perfectly.

I have a suggestion to everyone. Cease updating anything! Something is very wrong at DJI. Downgrade your firmware, and go back to a pre 4.0 version of the go app, and never change again. You will then be able to fly without issue.

Not very long.  Usually within a minute or two.  The camera stops recording on its own.

Just tried and was still recording 10 minutes later. No problems at all. Only problem I’ve noticed is I sometimes get a double startup up tone. One quiet and one louder straight afterwards. But no issues anyone else seems to be getting here.

I had a backup of my iPad before update. If you have backup you can delete dji go app and restore from backup through iTunes. It will put backed up dji go onto iPad. Not updated one. Must delete app before restoring from backup. Hope that makes sense.

Why the panic, a good number are flying new firmware without issue, other that the problem with the 4k recording stopping.

I am not panicking at all. You have read the threads. Something is wrong with this company, it is obvious and leading to not a good ending.

Even if by some divine intervention DJI comes out with a fix for this disaster, it will be loaded with even more restrictions I am sure. The way I see it, and this is only my opinion, the last decent quad will be the 4. People will be inticed to go out and buy any new quad DJI puts out because they want all those new cool features, but in the end, they will just have a quad with more restrictions, and cool new problematic features.

I may buy one more quad from DJI, but it will be a spare 4 with a backup of my current firmware, and I will fly using Litchi and Go App v2.8.7. These have not let me down yet.

In the end, if people want all those cool features, and can handle it when those features either don't work, or worse when they cant fly at all, or even the inevitable the restrictions ground them, then they should continue to buy DJI. Me? Well I will wait until something better comes out from someone else, or until the DJI Reverse Engineering Team fixes it

Doing it with formatted original and new formatted sd. Both do it. Seems to happen at random times. Anywhere from 50 seconds to 10 mins. Also my descent is kind of erratic. Really moves around when lowering altitude. Have done multiple IMu calibrations, factory resets, firmware refreshes. Worked great before firmware update.
