A magnetic compass points subject magnetic pole + external influences.

Not confused at all - you just cannot see or understand.

You ought to read the manual sometime because it disagrees with you.

Sorry, compass calibration can be triggered by the Aircraft Status at present. And can also be triggered by swiftly toggle the S2 flight mode switch for three times or more to enter the compass calibration mode for Phantom 3S/SE or P/S/A flight mode for Phantom 3 Adv/Pro/4K.
