This really is sad, there are tons of post about people not being able to fly past 1/4 mile without losing video or communication with the drone.  Will this ever be fixed? because if not I have a drone for sale.. I have lost my confedance that the P4P drone is safe to fly,, last night I flew over 4 miles in my neighbor hood, going around in circles one block maybe two away from the the controller before i would lose signal or video, or the video would start to flicker..I was affraid to fly out over the water as I thoutgh I might lose it for good. All i really want to do is fly and have some safe fun..DJI please help us..

Flight distance sometimes relates to the flight environment, we would suggest that you fly the drone in a wide and broad place. We understand how you feel it when the signal lost and drone disconnected, actually, the drone will fly back to the Homepoint if GPS signal available if you had chosen the failsafe feature as RTH. You can contact to our support to start a data analysis if unexpected thing happened.
We also have some pre-flight checklist and flight environment selecting for your reference:
Please feel free to contact us if your drone had any problems with.

You should have no issues, if you have GPS, your drone will return to the  RTH position. Its an fail safe mechanicism DJI have installed. Like DJI Thor said make sure you are in wide open area.

I haven't noticed ANY "lowered power" since the latest updates. Actually not ever since buying my P4P, several months ago...

How do you know this, I haven't been experiencing any of this, have dji been selective in how they dished out this firmware?

No Delivery Zone enforcement prevents most chocolate bars to be delivered on Space Stations. Only certified Aero, Galaxy, Starbar, Mars and MilkyWay bars are allowed.

Well I suppose space stations are entitled to their kit Kat with there coffee, I wouldn't begrudge them that, maybe there is a problem.

DJI only includes channels 13 thru 20 within the 2.4 GHz frequencies in the DJI GO4 app. The people having video down-link problems are flying in areas where these channels are cluttered and unstable causing the monitor screen to pix-elate between green and black

If DJI would add all 32 channels within the 2.4 GHz frequency to the DJI GO4 app this would solve the problem. Many P4P owners have installed the 32 channel hack which solved this problem for them. There is a YouTube video by Rick from Drone World on how to do this

I reckon you should have been able to get a reasonable position of the aircraft from those last few seconds of flight. But it looks very much like a lost propeller to me. If you post your flight logs through Phantomhelp and then put up a link to the results here, one of us might be able to tell you what happened.

DJI will not add all those channels because they are not legal in many countries.

If link fails above use this

The last DAT file
The last DAT file if anyone knows how to read them.  If you watch the video in slow motion you will notice the drone really shaking towards the end.  If you look closely you will see all the propellers are still on the drone.

We know the location but it did not land in street we believe it flew further into the dense bushland to the right.  We have searched were we can access vigorously many times with local police and volunteers

The file in that form is not much use, try using Phantomhelp instead.

Thank you for your response, i have well over 120 flights with the drone. not saying I am an expert but pretty confident . I always do a pre check flight, always calibrate the compass before take off. I have been flying from my back yard for well over a year. This problem started after the last update was installed about 3-4 weeks ago.. I have gone to another area where I fly over open water and there I experience lost of video connection. and the line line of site is at least 5-8 miles out. I am lacking the confidence that it will perform as it has in the past.. again the area in my back yard has not changed at all..

A compass calibration is definitely NOT NEEDED before every takeofff... Why on earth are you doing it???
