I'm sure there are 100 posts on this. Do you really think after spending $1000s supplying an app full of ads is reasonable? Ones that can delay reconnecting to a drone 200 feet in the air! This is pretty low budget and I cannot think of any company on the planet that would do this. At least offer one ad free for a couple bucks if that greedy. Including ads is unprofesional in this case just because app is free. The app is free but the gear is not!

No.  I've never seen a DJI promo while using the app.  I would agree that if I were to see a promo during flight, I would be p!$$ed!  But it's never happened to me (flying or otherwise).

I'm guessing it's a context sensitive Trojan.  McAfee has some protection software for Android (which I prefer).  Or resetting it (which can be painful).

If nobody ever gets them it has to be on my end. Extra odd is it's a clean phone just for this. Wiped, factory reset and no other apps.

confirming no ads here, android samsung S8. and iPad Mini 2 w/ Retina display.

Sorry for the confusion first. We do not add promotion ads when flying. Please try to reset the factory and re-install the APP for check.

I've download from google play store DJI GO 4 (4.1.4) app and even after factory reset same ads popup when DJI GO 4 launch

maybe this ads effect by country. Mm.. Im in S.Korea and Nexus 5X Device

I've seen the same Spark ad.  Note 3 in US.

Android DjGo4 App from the Playstore and I have never seen DJI promos in the app here in Germany

could be a specific brand\model you are using which comes builtin...

Brand new (just received) Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the nuisance DJI Spark ads that people are referring to are video ads from DJI being downloaded to the phone's photo album into a DJI Splash folder. I am sure that this IS NOT a virus I just got my phone and have done nothing with it except set up my DJI Go app and it keeps downloading the Spark video clips (ads) from DJI. Just because you guys don't have the problem don't assume that it is always a virus causing the problem I can assure you that it isn't.

DJI should look into this and stop this annoying downloading of video ads.

Thanks for your interest. I have deleted the 'DJI splash' folder in my Gallery so I can't show it to you at the moment but if it comes back again I will. I hope the DJI Splash folder is not needed for something important because I have now deleted it in frustration.

I have now converted to a Mac iPad Mini 4 (for better viewing with my old eyes) and will wait and see what happens.

In summary, I hope I have fixed my problem now. I'll see soon I guess.

Just sue them for allowing third party softwares in their app

So where has this landed?
I just bought a Mavic Air.  In preparing for it's arrival, i downloaded the app.  it clearly states that it contains ads.  
I'm with @fansa9ce0803.  Who thinks this is ok?  Is there a use for the app outside of flying the gear?  There should be a way to stop ads.  if nothing else, once you register a drone, ads should be disabled.  There is no need at all for ads to be seen after i just spent $1000.

Hi all,

This ad issue has hit me for the first time. I just opened my phone's gallery (Samsung Galaxy S7) and sitting in there is a photo ad for a DJI product. It's in the /DJI/dji.go.v4/DJI_SPLASH folder.

I find this to be a totally unacceptable invasion of my phone and privacy. This behaviour is what I would expect of dodgy apps or an infected phone. It feels like my phone now has a virus and is out of my control. Not happy DJI.

The ad was saved in my gallery 9th April 2019 and takes up 1.35MB space.

DJI GO 4 app version on my phone is 4.3.8.

I paid a lot of money for my DJI product and I expect better from them.
