Hi, just heard that apparently within April DJI is going to supply to all inspire owners  a free set of 4 quick coupling and 6 (3 pairs) of the relevant propellers.
That would be awsome and a very positive action by DJI to show customers like us its commitment to fix things that are not perfect !

apparently they will get sent by DJI directly (or via the distributors) by courier, same as happened for the first prop locks !

If this does happen, DJI will be restoring a great deal of faith with all the Inspire Owners who took the plunge and pre-ordered.  

Very positive news so lets just hope it materialises.  Positive thoughts .....

I do not have any faith in the distributors pro-actively sending everyone their props.

DJI, please send them directly to registered users, and you will end up getting more people registered, along with all of the benefits of building your database and ability to disseminate accurate information.

Just register with the serial number on the box, on the DJI.com website, not the forum.

Has anyone actually confirmed this?  Seems like DJI would be promoting this heavily for PR if it were the case.

The only threads I've read about it on speak of phone calls to third party stores and other vague recernces.

Is this just a rumor?

I have had confirmation from my dealer today (in the UK) with an expected shipping time of mid April.

No problem..... However, please be aware that these new quick fit props have a lifespan and should be treated as consumables!

They and the locking mechanisms should be replaced approximately after every 200 flights as the cams will wear and that will negate the 'locking' part of the whole system

So are the original props with locks no good?

No - they are fine. You can carry on flying with them.

It's just that DJI are discontinuing the originals in favour of the quick release type used on their E800 propulsion system which will be fitted to all future Inspires and offered as a free 'upgrade' to all existing owners.

CopterShop.com is sending the new props and adapters to people they sold to.  Expect them in April

I was messaging with DJI this morning about ordering the new props with the mounts and they told me i should wait and that they would be sending them out soon.

Is there a link somewhere to DJI's official announcement of the free replacement propellors? My reseller wants to see their official announcement before proceeding. And yes, they are an officially listed reseller of DJI products.
