I would like to know if the E1200 motors can be used with DJI S1000? How much extra take off limit it can carry? How much efficiency increment we are looking at.

Is there a link to specs where i can find the weight of the motors? When it will be available for purchase?

well the 17 inch props forsure wont fit on the s1000
maybe s1200 is coming out soon !!!!

the s1000 is a octocopter so the new E1200 will not fit, as it carries 17 inch props and theres simply not enough clearance for those props between the arms on a s1000

it will however fit comfortably on a s900, it beig a hexacopter so only 6 arms to spread.

specs for the E1200 kit, inc weight etc, will be released tomorrow Fri 27.

hmm, i need to hear that DJI is bringing something to lift the RED EPIC before i build my X8

Of course, you can use the new E1200 engines for the S1000.
Perhaps only with the original propellers of the S1000

its not a tuned propulsion kit if you go this route.

these E kits are tuned to their peak performance when they contain and use stock components. change ANY component and you lose the tuning.

you can use the " engines" from the E1200 on a s1000 or any frame for that matter but you wont be able to swing 17 rotors ( in the e1200 kit ) on a s1000.

The you have 3 selections:

1. Make other propellers for the S1000.
2. Arms Extended (longer) and a higher landing gear.
3. Every 2nd motor mount down. Thus, the propeller can not touch.

Why make the landing gear longer?  The props fold upwards in the stowed position!

If you install longer Motor arms, you Need a higher landing gear.
In case you put the arms down, the Motor hit the ground.

It is like trying to put a square peg into a round hole.  Can it be done, sure with a sharp knife and whittle it down, worth the effort probably not.  Just use the product as it was intended, on the S900 right now.  

I would like to know can I switch my camera system to a smaller lighter one for my DJI spreading wings S1000 I would like to turn my drone into a payload drone I need to lessen my load in the camera department,to get more room in my payload department!!! Do they make a payload release mechanism for the S1000 or will I have to modify my drone to add a payload release mechanism???
Plus can I add 8 more motors and propellers???

Can anyone give me advice on my best option to take???

I’ve got a S1000 I’ve modified, I got rid of the A2 fc & Zenmuse GH4 camera to a A3 fc with a Zenmuse X3 camera. I made a pellet dropper/payload release by using the servos that fold the legs up.
