Not sure if this was already posted but this is the first true sign that both Goverment and private citizens will not tolerate overseas companies from using the Internet and GPS devices to ease drop on US citizens. What amazes me is that it took this long for our goverment to wake up and relize that everything the US goverment is doing with drones is transfered and monitored by a Chinese foreign company and avaiilabe to their goverment.

Regards Mike

How can they get all this information if you don't sync your flight?
Or maybe the government or army didn't think of that...

doesn't the us government already have enough drones? Do they need more for their military operations and the internal market can't provide them?

Sounds like the Government has played their Trump card.

Almost definitely:- Read the update

Looks like they've found 'Airplane' mode on their control devices.

"Update – A U.S. Army spokesperson had the following to say via e-mail:
We can confirm that guidance was issued; however, we are currently reviewing the guidance and cannot comment further at this time.”

or a sneaky way for Donny Boy to widen his own interests in China?  If he buys out DJI and changes the name to DJT he might release a new App with his tweets instead of the current warnings, and all complaints on the new DJT forum would be instantly labeled as Fake News...

Yes, interesting article indeed, however, I believe this subject has been fairly well hammered on in this previous thread (http://forum.dji.com/thread-107654-1-1.html) here on this forum (sorry don’t mean to rain on your parade).  Also, I think it is fairer to say, at present, that just the US Army has put a stop on DJI product use, not the entire US Government.  Other than that, I think nearly everything of matter on this issue has been stated on that other thread.

Note of caution: this subject is a sore one with the Moderators and they are not tolerating any comments outside their stated boundaries on the subject.  See red text note on 2nd comment in the noted thread above.
I did enjoy the “DJT” humor!  He’s going to make ‘Drones Great Again’!

the problem is DJI has made no effort to patch the loopholes, it can be hacked so easily so the goverment fears in the wrong hands, it can be very easily hacked to fly into NFZ. DJI is suppose to implement a rigourous NFZ yet it can be so easily circumvented and DJI has had a long time to patch this exploit yet has not made any efforts and because theres no effort on their part is puts unneccary risk hence why banning the product.

if DJI would get off their asses and block the exploit this would not have happened, serves DJI right for not taking it serious.

It seems that we are not the only ones to have issues with the recent firmware updates.
