The DJI GO 4.1.5 App on my S7 / Android 7 crashes constantly after a few seconds. There is no chance to use it. I have deinstalled / reinstalled the app but nothing changes.The RC Controller without App works fine with the Mavic.

Does anybody has any suggestions how to fix the issue?

Hi, I am having the exact same problem since this morning. Tried everything. Same, S7 edge. Sent an email to support. I can't imagine that something went wrong on our side. Hope it's a server problem. Seems that the app is crashing on the "checking version" step.

The august 4th, 2017 update  only crashes when the aircraft comes on line.

When the aircraft is offline the apps peforms fine although the S7 reports heavy resource usage. The S7 is brand  new and runs no other apps than the DJI 4 GO app. Flash memory is 64 G 100 MB/s.

without aircraft it works fine on my phone too. Also heavy resource usage is reported, but this might be normal. (I had this in earlier versions as well)

Tried S5, crashes too. Seems linked to app update.

They should rollback asap! Incredible.

To me the problem is giving me with a Samsung S6 edge +
I have gotten to fly but soon it is blocked

Someone please find the link to the apk of the previous version and try it...? It should help rollback the app to previous version. If working, please post the link of the apk here. I can't try it now

Since version 4.1.0 there are lots of complaints about crashing of the app. DJI Support knows about that and promissed to fix this.  If you read all topics about crashing of the app you must notice that there are not many responds from DJI, the few there are only suggest to remove and re-install the app, what doesn't solve the problem.

They should also list issues down in change logs or did I missed it? I can't tell the differences between 4.1.4 and 4.1.5 what's being fixed and what is not. Although I don't have crashing issues on my Note3 since 4.1.3 (only once trying to change the Wifi channel), I'm quite concerned if soon I were to trade in my phone say for a Note8 (I don't fancy carrying tablets around) and the app goes berserk not knowing what's causing it.

I have installed 4.1.3 now and it works fine. Thanks to Ferdi_dji for the link. And thanks to DJI for the Version 4.1.5  ;-)

On S7 it reports that my download has started. Where do I find the APK file. I already installed APKextractor. TIA

I have Samsung s8 plus and also CRASHES the  dji go 4 app.
Before 4.1.4 workshop fine

Never mind...installed solid explorer, browsed dowloads..found version 4.1.3 extracted and voila

Just rollbacked to 4.1.4 and it works. Link to the apk http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/dji-technology-co-ltd/dji-go-4/dji-go-4-4-1-4-release/. Please check on Google how to install an apk

Thx ferdi, worked like a charm...just made my first night flight

Just to provide additional information that may be useful for DJI developers. The same issue on ASUS Zenpad 10 (Z300M-A2-GR) with 2GB RAM and 16GB Flash. Installing version 4.1.4 from APK solved the problem.

As a matter of fact DJI GO4 gets worse and worse with every update and crashes more and more beside an increasing video-transmission-lag when it crashes NOT by chance ................ Seems DJI pushes us to a force-buy of CrystalSky  ................

same problem on Huawei P9 lite.  If aircaft go online, app crash. Dji 4.1.4 worked fine.. A 6.0

Thanks for the warning, guys, I have now disabled auto-update of apps on my phone.
I'll keep using version 4.1.4 of the DJI GO 4 app as long as DJI has not sorted out the software issues in that app!

Same here.... Prior to this, app was frequently displaying "aircraft disconnected" even if I was still able to flight and have video stream. Now it crashes as soon as I plug it into the RC (which is already connected to the mavic)

Very frustrating, because I wanted to flight next week with it.

Seriously, the app code must be a real mess, each update they fix 2 things and broke 32 other things :-(

Same problem. All worked fine untill update 4.1.5. Mavic Pro, Samsung a7, Android 6.0.1. Reinstalled, manually deleted all dji-folders,formatted  SD-card. Same problem: DJI Go 4 stops a few seconds after take off.

Don't power on the Mavic Pro, and it will work.

1.) Connect the Smartphone to the RC
2.) Power on the RC and wait for the GO 4 App is starting
3.) If the App is running, power on the Mavic Pro and connect.

Sorry. That is my start up procedure. And it does not work.

It was worth the try but.... it doesn't work with my Spark and the 4.1.5 DJI GO4. Again crash at: "The homepoint has been updated..."

I installed the "old" 4.1.4 version of DJI GO4 again and tadaaaa ..... my SPARK acts fine again. No crash, just smooth flying.

My  iPhone 6s Plus never had a problem but now 4.1.5 crashes all the time as soon as get to enter flight the app crashes.
Reinstall app it's ok for one flight then crashes thereafter.
Anyone else? Is there a fix?

Been using iPhone 7+ and IPad Pro 9.7inch, both with 256gb memory no issues 14 flights. Might be a memory size issue, just guessing but seams more like an Android compatibility issue. Hope all get answers soon.

After flying all morning with the will rolled back 4.1.3 I rolled back 4.1.4 as well on the Samsung S7. Both after stable for me. So I'll stick to 4.1.4 I was familar with.

Some additional information: Had the same problem 2 days ago, and i did 2 things: Installed the DJI GO App (the version for the old Phantom) and when it's starts and find the Phantom 4, it give me a link for a download of the GO 4 App, but this was not from the Google Play Store, and i download and installed it.

Additional, i did the software Update for the Phantom 4 with the DJI Assistant 2 v1.1.2-2 on Windows.

Other person say, that it help to set the system language of the mobile phone to english.

Same problem with  P9 lite.

DJI, are you there ? Do you know what is beta testing ?

This is not really cheap products and is not compatible with your level of incompetence.
As a customer, I demand and have the right to have a product that I bought 100% functional. And you as suppliers have an obligation to guarantee this and not just receive the money.
This is the normal procedure in any European country, is not it in China?

You can't say it's an Android compatibility issue since there are different models running different Android OS versions as well. And since some models have not experienced issues, it seems more appropriate to say, some Samsung models are having an issue. My HTC U11 is having no problems with the app.
