Once your RTH is set to homepoint on loss of radio signal it's automatic to return to homepoint.

yep, as long as home point was se at take off, , and you set the RTH altitude properly to surroundings (to clear trees and buildings it my fly pass) it should rise up to match that height and fly back to start point within  a few inches..   RTH isn't very fast however

RTH speed outside 100 metres 10 M/S , same as Mavic or pretty close to it. Very slow within 100 metres.

i never got it to do  22mph on RTH.. hmm, that's interesting.   definitely try it again later either today or tomorrow, depends how much daylight i got left today after charging batteries and finishing repairs.

unless im doing the math wrong, but isnt 10 meters/sec = 22MPH?   if so i haven't achieved 22mph RTH yet..

finally, got something right today! thats pretty fast if it does 22mph, in that case i cant blame little sparky...  just hope DJI gives us smart RTH later, the current RTH is as dumb as a brick wall.. im not asking for much here..just avoid big obvious stuff...  even if it cuts down on RTH speed to 12 mph to keep sensors happy..

It's six of one half a dozen of another, do you want to lose signal in a 12mph wind with speed only 12mph your drone won't make it back, or fly back at 22mph with OA turned off.

that's why i would want a toggle... give us the option...  also DJi in theory could implement  secondary failsafe in smart RTH if the wind is too strong it disables even if disconnected from the RC and reverts to "classic" RTH

so i have tested RTH from about  1,400 feet away or about 420M and it only did upto 16MPH, still faster than i i expected/remembered from my last spark, but not quite 22mph.

also side note, i think im having battery runtime and range issues.. but more testing needs to be done when im less drunk next time because controlling the spark while chasing it on flat out ATV is not easy, but damn, 30mph felt insanely fast and very hard to keep up with on trails.. also tracking thing is crap... i dont know how it lost track of my RED ATV in  green field.. but it did.. chased me for all of 20 seconds then just gave up.. wasnt even at end of its radius, i dont think..

The RTH is activated by default when the drone loses the connection with RC. And the drone will return to the Home Point if the GPS signal is available.
