Because i had problems with the signal of my remote i decided to open it up. When I tried to open it I noticed that the little white pins that allow the antenna to be moved had been worn out and one of them was somehow pushed inside. Clearly it damaged the cable because the plastics were forced inwards. I am likely to think that this is the cause of my problem. Inside the remote i noticed a difference in the inside antenna's. One seems to have somesort of corrision on it. Is thiss normal? Have been searching for a new antenna but cant find where to buy it. Whats my alternative? Regards G

You say you had signal problems.  I assume it's with the 5.8 ghz control signal?  

You could just replace the cable and antenna with something else that's somewhat similar.

But I would replace the antenna and cable with something completely different.  I would choose the ITELITE antenna system and replace all three antennas and cables.

@Mark The connection with the remote got lost so the aircraft went in rth mode. Even after a few feet distance. What you think of the inside antenna's? Is that normail they look like that? Think about buying the argtek 6 antenna version.

You will get much better range with argtec

Was this a Refurb or new unit purchased recently ?

Trouble is warranty claims on external damage are always a hit or miss affair as to whether accepted or not.

The corrosion is why I ask if its Refurb unit ...

Personally I had excellent results with ARGTEK  - but there are others who didn't.

But yes - I would try Warranty if bought recently .... if that fails - then swap out antenna to ARGTEK or DBS ITELITE system ...

I already had contact with support but that is a terrible experience. I get answers to questions i did ask. Seems like they dont even read or understand the questions. I am not planning to send in my remote to get an expensive repair for a part that cant cost that much. I am capable enough to install an argtek myself.
