I think all cruise ships collect drones when you board, but they give them back to you when you get off at every port. They just keep it while you're on board, I guess to prevent people from flying from the cruise itself. I dont really know if Royal Caribbean does it the same, but I went on Norwegian a few months ago and I took my Mavic on its Pelican case. Right away they knew it was a drone as soon as it went through the scanner and they kept it. This time on Royal I did something different. I used my DSLR bag. I took a few things out and used two compartments for the Mavic and the remote. I placed the Mavic standing on its nose just like one of my lenses... the same with the remote. Every time it went through the scanner the Mavic was standing up so all they saw was the shape of the DSLR camera and its "accessories". I had no issues at all with it. |
