Hello DJI.

I bought a Mavic Pro and wanted to update it to the newest firmware before flying, but no matter if I try updating through DJI Go on my phone or the Assistant (tried both on a Mac and a PC, with different USB cables...), it won't work... It always stops at 76% on DJI Go and at 68% on Assistant. After a while the drone restarts and it says "Upgrade failed". I have been trying it for two days for at least 20 times with the various methods...

The RC is now on .900, but I can't get the AC to update.

On the forum, I read of similar problems and that it worked after you enabled the .350 beta firmware in their account. They were told to downgrade to that first and upgrade to .900 after. Could you enable that beta firmware .350 for me too?

DJI either have reset something on your account

Try the following  until they sort it...

Create a new account with DJI and log in with that then upgrade,

I helped DJI solve this issue they never thanked me

Sadly I have to report that this didn't work either... For some reason, the new account produced the same error... at least through Assistant. Haven't yet tried DJI Go with the new account though.

Again, thank you Diana! This worked perfectly!

Here's a detailed description of what I did to update:
1. First, I connected with DJI Go to format the Mavic's SD card. This may not be necessary (and make sure you don't delete something you may still need!)
2. Then I deinstalled Assistant 2 on my PC and reinstalled it (This is probably also not necessary, but after a week of trying, you get paranoid). Make sure you get the newest version since at the time of this writing, DJI has 2 versions in the download section.
3. After that, I activated the remote, let it wirelessly connect to the Mavic and then connected the remote to the PC by USB.
4. Login to the account that DJI has enabled for the special beta firmware.
5. Choose the beta firmware you were told to use and start the update. It seems that this special firmware version was .350 in the past, I was told to use .810 or .811. Used the latter.
6. After the beta firmware update finishes, press "Record" on the remote (upper left shoulder button). For me it didn't work the first time I pressed it, since my Mavic was restarting in that moment. I pressed it again and the "REC" symbol in the remote's display started flashing.
7. Start the actual update with the latest firmware and watch the percentage counter go where you never saw it going - done.

Maybe that will help somebody.
