I had convinced myself that the Assistant 2 software must not be compatible for pc, because I have loaded that sucker many times.
First, will not recognize my Mavic or it's controller when i plug it into a USB port.
Secondly, when I close and reopen the link on my desktop, it wants to reload the program again, like it was never there.

Has anyone a solution to this madness?

I think I've read that you have to install as an admin or the drivers won't load.

you are turning the Mavic on, right?

What antivirus software and firewall you are using on your PC? Reinstall the DJI Assistant 2, then disable the antivirus software and firewall, then install it,  see if it works? Besides, have you got any error message?

I have Norton Security on the PC, and there have been no error messages .
I will retry it again without the anti-virus running.

So, here's what I found out about my inability to load the DJI Assistant 2:
I have Windows 8.
Windows 8 excludes certain driver downloads...like the DJI Assistant 2.
I found this video, I followed the directions...and now it's working as intended.

Some of the drivers incluided are not signed correctly. This is why you need to do this... Sadly after months they still haven't fixed this. I don't understand a company like DJI doesn't fix this.

I would guess that this is a Windows thing.
