Hi Guys,
I saw that from the early date of Spark's release, people saying that the wifi frequency 2.4Ghz and 5.8 Ghz make the different in the range and if you are on 5.8Ghz, the signal is crappy... I did believe the same until today, I accidentally came across this youtube video, the guy reached nearly 3km (On OTG), and if you see his screen, the frequency stayed on 5.8 Ghz the whole time...
So, seems like wifi frequency got nothing to do with Spark range?
We have the introduction about the Max transmission distance in our official website. They are the same range with 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz in FCC area. When there are multiple Wi-Fi connections and the working frequency are 2.4GHz, you might consider changing the drone's to 5.8GHz coz it would be less interference.
