This is not exactly about the Inspire, but quadcopters in general - as well as control systems.  I find it very interesting and insightful.

When he was using the pointer, it felt similar to working with trained dolphins.  His hand controlled segment showed that at some point the controller will be redundant.

These UAVs continue to amaze me...A long ways away from Fly by Wire that I started out with many many years ago and my old balswood P40...However, there is still the potential of a fly away as evidenced by the safety netting...Such is the nature of RF...2/3rd science 1/3rd voodoo...

Frankly, I think DJI should look seriously at incorporating some of the logic used to continue controlled flight even after clipping off two of the props on the quad.  Being able to maintain control with one or two props damaged (or lost!) would be a very good safety feature for any free flight quadcopter.
