Figured it might be good to have a clean thread for people to discuss their findings if and when they get the new beta firmware pushed out to them. I'm not in the beta circle, but I'd certainly like to hear first impressions from people that are.

I know people are frustrated, but I'm getting a headache from constantly watching 15 threads to see if there has been any tangible progress in terms of a fix or if it's just another round of 'DJI sucks...'. So if you do get the beta, please let us know what happens when you take to the sky.

Fingers crossed we will all be able to put this nightmare to bed soon.

*Edit* Please also post here if you have managed to get the data sent off to DJI in time. Would be good to know how many of you there are out there.

But to get the beta based on current instructions, you'll need to get your baseline flight data sent off within 12 or so hours from this post's timestamp. DJI obviously want to move fast, so go for it team!

I sent by data to them this morning and have just had an email back stating the files will be passed on the the R&D team, so now I presume it's just a waiting game

I have sent the data to DJI yesterday afternoon the 10th. The Drone is now for 36 days unusable. Waiting hopefully.     

I bet all those beta testers who got new features before everyone else are all working hard for you all on your flight issues, go guys go!

Thanks to all the people that have sent the files in I was unable to complete this by the 24-hour deadline due to work and the current weather. It would be nice to know how many people did send in the files. Hopefully, this will help DJI find the problem and sort it out for everyone.

And yet again, firmware promised and no firmware delivered.

Makes you wonder why they only gave 24 hours to get your data files in right before the weekend when there was obviously  nothing going to happen until monday  at the very earliest ??????

Yeah, that had occurred to me too, M109. I also emailed to see if OK for me to provide on the weekend but I was told very politely, No - wanted in 24 hours. I'm counting 3 so far that had the opportunity to provide the file - perhaps that's the low number they actually wanted?

Anyway, I'm hoping there is some clear data for R&D to work off to fix the 'bucking' issue. It'd be good not to have to wait another 8 months to have this sorted.

Good luck, can you try recording in 4k @ 30fps, check if there are any problems there ?

Can you please check if ISO is still stuck at 500 when shooting in D-LOG!?

No luck with that one, gimble goes limp and/or AC does a re-boot after about 2 minutes.

Thank you for checking, something for DJI to check before final release. But there again it is the first Beta.

Delay tactics. We wont see a fix before the beginning of the 4th quarter. I guarantee it. 1.5 months to go. I guess they could drop a fix once they meet 3rd quarter projections but I imagine the 3rd party rollback option threw a wrench in their devious little repair you not broken drone scheme. I guess well see.

I can not send my flight data to DJI, because DJI assistant dont show me the flight record......... I connect the drone, but never show me the info...................

And then, y dont receive the new beta.......................

Don't get me wrong, I agree completely. With just two beta testers, we could end up with new firmware only to find out it only fixes half the problems and then we are right back to square one. Meantime, new drones will be released and the P4 will be pushed even further down the priority list.  

It's beyond belief. I get it. It's a c*ck up of epic proportions and has forced me to question any loyalty I had to the brand. But, as I said in the first post, it would be great if we could keep conjecture and personal opinion out of this one thread so that we don't have to wade through the endless piles of frustration to find out how and when a fix might present itself.

They didn't even send me an invite even though I was literally the first one to request the beta. DJI Joe said in a PM that it was a very small beta group, so it's obviously by design. But there is small and there is statistically insignificant. I can't make sense of it either.

Now only thing I've done is swap out my SD from a 32GB Sandisk Ultra to a 64 GB Sandisk ultra. Jury's still out, but 15 minute flight yesterday and so far a stationary recording of over 24 minutes has shown no stops or resets.

Can you swap back to 32gb? For testing purposes?

First test flight with Beta and results are not good, still has unstable flight but nowhere as bad as I had with v02.00.0106  and still has 4k 30fps limp gimbal problem

:-) of course, but will take time to prove if any substance to this. Longest video that can be created is 29 minutes and 20 seconds. That is a time limit set by system, not memory restriction.

I already have the beta. Tomorrow I will test it

Being a Beta test they might have sent an unaltered 'control'  to some :-)
Certainly any beta testing I've seen in the past (not DJI) covered a number of different scenarios by sending different files to different people to get a meaningful return. But given the apparent small number of testers here that seems unlikely, but who knows.

I flew with the new beta this afternoon and at take off it was looking good and hovered stable. After hovering for one minute I flew 100 m forward as DJI requested and at first it was also looking good but then I saw there was sometimes still a wobble. When I was flying fast it was getting worse. I flew backwards and there was also sometimes a wobble. When I flew sideways it was looking good. When landing it was without any problem, but the motors were warm after just a 5 minute flight. DJI told you to disable the obstacle avoidance for this flight.
I took off for a second flight and this time enabled the obstacle avoidance. The Drone again sometimes wobbles and now it changes speed by itself in flight. I landed again and disabled the obstacle avoidance, took off for the third time, again very smooth and hovered stable but when I flew forward and backwards it sometimes wobbles but holds a steady speed. I am busy sending all three flight logs to DJI to analyze it and fix the problems. So with the beta it hovered stable but in flight it still wobbles. I saw that M109 on the forum have reported about the video. Also there was no map.
