I like to shoot car shows and there are always great events at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum through the summer months.
Yesterday was the Annual BMW Car Club of America Day, so it was off to Brookline to get some photography/video content.
Shooting at a car show is always tricky trying to manuveur through the crowd to get a decent photo of a car.
Getting there early is always a good idea, which I did.
I try to get as many shots of the cars I want to shoot, and come back for those who are later arrivals.
So, i shot the pics, took some short video clips and then it was Drone Time.
Because I'm not looking to get anyone nervous...besides me...I asked the director of the CCA if I could fly a drone briefly and
with no obstructions to the event.
He was immediately interested in the footage I would create...and the President of the local club also agreed.
I was encouraged, but when they checked with the museum honcho, it was a "No."
Apparently, Brookline, Massachusetts has outlawed drones, and that really sucks because it would have been awesome to add
aerial footage to the project.
The BMW CCA was disapointed as well, and apologized to me as I was leaving the event.
Oh well, it was still a great day...
Here's my video of the Larz Anderson Auto Museum's BMW Day with a very short cameo from my DJI mavic Pro:
