.     Ok, The Spark is an impressive piece of engineering and workmanship. It still amazes me despite it's flaws.
The App keeps crashing. Constantly. Hopefully this will be fixed in a FW update... soon!!
But the one thing that has bothered me from the start is the way the remote [loosely] "holds" your phone.

Now, I realize that cost was an issue as well as compact size, but the phone holder quite frankly SUX!!
Solution: Mavmount.

.     Let's get this outta the way. I am not connected with them, paid by them or advertising for them. I am simply passing along my opinion of a product that I think is excellent in both design and build. And, I think reasonably priced. $59 complete plus $7.25 shipping. There are some upgrade options available also.

.     This thing fits, Holds the phone securely in it's protective cover. The angle is adjustable.
No longer do I constantly wonder if my phone is going to fall on the ground.... naked!!
One less major distraction!!

Thanks for sharing. I would recommend you to update to the latest firmware to check the connection.

The extra mount is great if you want to carry extra things around, but the DJI solution is fine too.  Most people would use controller mounts with the phone for ease/portability and use the mount for a tablet I would expect.

What has firmware got to do with the physical mount of the phone?
The home button I referred to is on the phone.

It's the first entry on the customer service help manual.   They read it to everyone, no matter what the situation is.

i think the rc is just fine, guess its a mater of opinion fits my nexus 7 perfect

I have nexus 7 second gen 2013 and it does not fit into the RC so how did you manage to get it to fit?

I fly with iPad Mini 4's and while they fit and feel secure, I did by the MavMount - predominantly for their CrystalSky mount - which I waiting for DJI to release.  MavMount is, in my opinion, the cleanest solution to mounting any device to the Mavic & Spark Controller.

ok I manged to get it to fit now lol

I am having a custom case made by GPC.
They do make custom designs and are reasonable with pricing.
It will hold my Spark plus 3 additional batteries, spare props and Remote with Mavmount.
This will be my Run-N-Gun rig.
I got quotes from a few other companies, a few were less $ but with GPC I know what I will get.
(You get what you pay for)
