In the battery safety manual, it states that after every 20 battery cycles, we should completely drain the battery to 0% until it can no longer be turned on then recharge it to maximum capacity.  Has anyone done this or currently doing this?  If so, are you just letting it run with the props off until the battery is completely drained?

I suppose you could also just spend some time on the simulator also as teh aircraft needs to be on for this also.

Very good point.  Get some simulator time in while waiting for the batteries to drain out.  Thanks for that.

Another productive way is to use the supplied cable to drain the battery by using it to charge the controller.

I run my Batteries down to the point that the Quad will not even lift each time i fly it and then let it idle until the Battery shuts down completely. I then let it sit for a day or so and then charge it or even wait until a day or two before I am going to fly and then charge them. I achieve excellent Battery life. They need the exercise.

Forgot to mention that the Inspire Battery has circuitry in it that balances the charge. It also will discharge the Battery to 50% if it is fully charged. This will occur around 10 days after being fully charged. The recommended storage charge is 50%.

That will work also, good call, use it to drain it down and put the energy into the Controller Battery.

Easiest and safest way is to fly them down to 25% then deep cycle then in smartpowercharger......
