I think that dji must fix as soon as possible the 2.4 issue .My Ac connect always in 5.8 and it has smooth image but not good range .When i manualy change to 2.4 i have better range but very delay in video that make 2.4 useless.Otg fixes the problem but this is not a solution.  I bought a device and i want to operates as good in 2.4 and 5.8.I tested one time otg but i want to use this drone as advertised and not with otg that is not suported by dji.Think that if any of you had a crash maybe dji tell you *oh you fly with otg that is not supported that cause the crash no warranty by by *

You managed to connect to 2.4 GHz with the RC and without OTG cable?

Yes but image transmition has 5 sec delay

400 meters altitude with otg and 300 distance in 2.4 inside a city....CE standard

What mobile device are you using?  Have you tried to fly the drone in different open areas when it is using the 2.4g? See if it is the same.

It's true, I am on my way back from vacation in Europe and on 2.4 the video is choppy and very laggy,, like over 1 second from input to seeing the effect on screen. There is less lag and no choppiness in 5.8, but still like 1/2 second delay unless you use an otg cable, and range is limited to about 500 meters.  Also if you have the otg cable in,, it won't let you switch to 2.4ghz.

OTG fixes the problem but is not the solution.

Wait, what? It could be your phone, your location or any number of variables, but you want DJI to fix it even though you have a solution?

OTG is an unsupported workaround, so currently not a solution!

There are loads of people including myself who are experiencing all kinds of connection problems in CE mode.
So yes, it is a serious issue for us in Europe (CE) that needs to be taken seriously and solved by DJI.

You have to connect RC and Spark first without OTG showing 5.8 and then once you change to 2.4 and select a channel you then can connect OTG this will get you into 2.4 using OTG

OTG is not the solution. OTG is a temporary fix that is not recognized by DJI and in some circumstances may void warranty. I demand a permanent fix for Europe users in 2,4 Ghz, 2,4 connection has a lot of lag in image transmition....

It cant be everyones phone and location in all states of EU CE standard...Every User in EU in any location with any phone in Europe has the same problem....So its a problem that DJI must fix as soon as possible because we buy a product that dose not work as advertised...Personally i feel tricked because i cant have the distance i want as advertised.....

I use HTC 10 android 7.0 with wifi to rc and rc to ac in airplane mode enabled software firmware latest.But any phone i tested like iphone 6s in different locations i am getting the same results always in startup try s to connects to 2.4 then signal loss and starts conection with 5.8.I try manual connection in 2.4 in a stable channel and the video is chopy with 3 or 5 sec lag so the 2.4 connection is useless .5.8 works great but it has limited distance.I think 2.4 in Europe CE is bugy at the moment and unusable . I cant reach the max distance as advertised and i am very frustrated.

what is the maximum distance you have made on 5.8 and then also 2.4? As I EU it states 300 meters on 5.8 and 500 on 2.4...I have got about 800 meters on 2.4 then again thats with OTG

While they are at it, they should make a setting where you can set if you like 2,4 to be default instead of they buggy experience where you first  have to change from 5,8 to 2,4 (and then be disconnected) and then connect with the OTG cable to have a somewhat pleasant flying experience (and not worry too much about getting out of range)

Without otg in 5.8 i can go 200 metes altitude and 200 meters in distance.Without otg in 2.4 i dont know because i have terrible lag in video transmission and i pull the drone back it is useless .With otg in 5.8 i can reach 300 meters in altitude and 300 meters distance.With otg in 2.4 i can reach 500 meters max altitude and 450 - 500 in distance...Greece ce country

I would be satisfied if i could get 500 meters altitude and 500 max distance in 2.4 WITHOUT otg and any warning about image transmission and lag just solid connection ( that applys and to 5.8 ) . DJI must gave as just what they advertised solid connection in 2.4 without any otg tricks just what the specs writes nothing  more nothing less.
