I don’t have a 3D printer so I’m looking at a Mavmount 3.0, but you are very creative! The iPad Pro has such a great display it would be a shame not to find a way to use it with the Spark.  Have you had any issues in bright sunlight?

If the sunlight shines direct onto the display it is very hard to see anything. Most the time I try to find a spot in the shadows or with the sun behind me. This works pretty good.

I bought a used mini 2 works perfectly tried several android devices not good results.  Hit a couple pawn shops near a college got mine for $139.

I use an Ipad Mini 4 with this bracket to attach it to my RC.  Keeps the Ipad above the RC, not in front of it.  Even comes with a lanyard.

I uwe Apple iPad 4; no issues and problems!

Does the iPad 4 fit in the controller arms where phones normally go?

I just started using my iPad Pro 11" with a short USB-C to USB-A cable connected to an OTG cable. Works great!  The iPad is mounted to the RC controller with a PGYTECH tablet holder. The iPad is big on there, but I have learned where the controller buttons are by feel and appreciate the big display when I don't have good line of sight.

I am checking for Galaxy Tab A (2016), right now.
The brightness seems to be one of the best for the buck

How did that Galaxy tab a work? What size screen is it? 7,8, or 10 inch?

I dropped the Idea and got me a Huawei mediapad M3 8.4 instead.
Not so bright but performing well with the Sparks RC
