Notes
Restart the aircraft and remote controller after upgrade is complete.

If the firmware upgrade fails, restart aircraft, remote controller and DJI GO 4 or DJI Assistant 2, and retry.
Tried to update. Came up with an error after what looked like it was almost complete. Tried a second time. Still didn't update. And now my battery has the two middle lights stuck on and will not power down the mavic. Plus the battery's status on the remote is Now also not showing battery power. Battery will not charge now. And I'm unable to reach try the firmware due to battery power to low message when trying to try update again

Does this update fixed problem with video recording quality, where you had to switch from NTSC to PAL and back for better image quality?
No, same blurry video +1 sharpenning or ntsc/pal restart fix this problem
Im using a Galaxy s8+ and had major crashes with GO app 4.1.5 and my first flight I almost lost the Mavic so I finaly got things working with GO app 4.1.4 and updates to .900 which were not finishing it would freeze around 50% using my phone so I tried updating using the Assistant2 version 1.1.2_2 on my Pc but the drivers wouldn't load so every time I connected Mavic or controller to Pc using USB the Assistant2 wasn't recognising it,so I uninstalled Assistant2 and found older version Assistant2 1.0.7 which loaded the drivers correctly and I was able to update.
So im little hesitant to try the latest new update until since now all is working well no crashes yet im going to wait until more people post their testing in the field.
DJI please address this. Please let us save all current settings to our app with the option to name each settings file and then upload again.

@DJ Enertia..... Then stay with the current firmware. According to release note there are not much benefit for you to update.

Try updating again. If it reaches <50% you're screwed and have to send it in to get repaired.
Basically, it's waiting for an update now. Just put it in your Mavic and update. Keep trying till it succeeds.
This was a common issue with FW v01.03.0600. This can be fixed by contacting a moderator/admin and request an DJI Account reset. They enable your account to download a very old FW version which will fix this problem, then you can upgrade again via Assistant 2 without any problems.
A solution which worked for me as I was affected by this problem too:
- Remove DJI Assistant 2 from your PC and purge all remaining folders (don't forget local appdata)
- Install latest Version again and login with a different DJI-Account
- The drone should update as expected without any problems
- Re-Login your main DJI-Account and use it as before
Can I just update the DJI GO app without updating the firmware? I'm hoping the app update will fix the map & ipad mini 4 problem but I am hesitant to update the firmware until it is tried and true.
Or, is it an all or nothing update? (App AND firmware)

You can update the app without updating the firmware! I am running FW v01.03.0700 and the latest app (4.1.5 Android) without any problems.
Make sure you update the DJI GO app first. My upgrade appears to be stalled at 55%. I hope it completes. What are my options if it hangs? Just restart the drone and controller and see if it finishes?
The update .1000 is for Mavic and Controller, both must be updated. If the battery need update, it's automatic.
For DJI GO 4 , it's an update different with Android or iOS and not directly linked to this update.
Happy to see French guys here !
-----
I have just updated app mavic controller and 3 batteries. All went fine. I did charge all batteries to 75 % before updating Them. Go now for a test flight.
The update using DJI Assistant 2 wasn't as smooth as previously updating to .0900.
With all my 3 batts fully charged, I successfully updated the RC to .1000. Then using first batt labeled #1, reached 32% I got the two middle leds, got stuck there for quite sometime and finally failed. Mavic now won't switch off. Tried few times and still no go. It scared the crap out of me!
Finally removed the USB connection then reconnect and the status showed new firmwares both .0900 and .1000. Tried again with the .1000 and it seems updating even with the two middle leds but very slow more than 10mins. Reached about 50ish % the lights went back to normal. Phewww!
Batts#2 and #3 has incompatible prompts as per-normal and it updated quite fast. Guys please ensure the batts are fully charged before upgrading the firmware! The first few attempts already drained the battery one led down. If < 50% we're screwed!
There was a NFZ database update prompt initially which doesn't got upgraded so I skipped. Now with the .1000 it still won't update. Downloaded 100% and the DJI Assistant 2 self-closed immediately when it starts transmitting at 0%. How do I update this? UPDATED: The NFZ update on the DJI Assistant 2 doesn't work but it worked on the DJI Go 4.
If you have more than 1 battery, the others also needs firmware upgrades. You will see incompatible module prompt both in the software and app when you put in those other batteries. Just let it do the updating itself, best to upgrade all batteries at once.
I am afraid to try it yet ;) (My Mavic is doing very well lately with .0900). But have a question, how long I'll be able to postpone FW upgrade? Is there any chance to be enforced in the middle of the mountain on a beautiful scene with No option to fly before "upgrade"?
Just blew through a battery on a test flight, everything worked really well!! Can't wait for my iPad Mini to come in because the iPhone is too small....
On iPad when I try to change the rth height or max height I get a numpad up and can change the value.. but there is no enter key or accept.. if I click off the keypad the alien isnt saved.
I plugged in my android phone to set these values and it was fine.
Is there supposed to be a done/enter key on the iPad keyboard in djigo?

It is much better that you do not force updating as you did with Spark. I will wait awhile for all pioneers to report the results.
Thank you.
This is good advice if everything is working, you have nothing to gain from bug fixes that don't affect your current rig. I experienced issues on iPhone 10.3.3 and DJI Go 4.1.5. Since I have been prevented from flying in the last update, I really have nothing to lose at this point. My specific issue was "Image Transmission Lost, RTH?" Since I am grounded, I'll spend the afternoon trying this on mine. Good luck everyone. Have a great day, Rick.
