Yesterday I stumbled upon the app called GSP (DJI Ground Station Pro)... viewed some videos about this app on Youtube, now I have some questions and hope someone can answer them.

- Is it safe to use this app?
- What about flight restrictions, height and distance restrictions are removed with DJI Go 4 when signed in, does GSP restrict the Mavic?
- What about flight-records?

I've used the app a couple of times with no issues, however I don't believe DJI even supports it even though it's their software, I believe it's because GS Pro does not create flight records, I believe GS Pro looks at the DJI Go 4 settings and uses them, not 100% sure on the last one.

For the flight safety, flight environment matters a lot. For the flight restriction, you have to power on and connect the drone RC and DJI GO 4 app first and then launch GS Pro, or the drone will be limited at the moment. And this app doesn't generate flight records, but it will produce the flight data on the drone.

It is only for IOS and iPad users

Did fly with GSP yesterday... made a movie but forgot to focus... will give it another try {:4_181:}

GSP does overwrite some of the settings I made in DJI Go 4:  max. height, max. distance etc. So if you use GSP and later on use DJI Go 4 again you have to check you settings...

Today I tried to fly the mission again, was able to take-off but MP kept hoovering on the spot... didn't fly the mission...

Flew 3 batteries with DJI Go 4 app without any problems... have to check next time why I wasn't able to fly the mission...

Using the latest firmware? Maybe the app needs to be updated for compatibility.

I upgraded and then I tried to fly a Hangar 360 mission yesterday and the AC did the same thing -- now, I didn't launch the mission from the ground but instead a few feet above after switching from DJI Go 4, so that may have confused the app, though I've done that before without issue.  After I manually flew it up to 300ft the app started working.

I have updated to latest firmware in 22-08, flew the mission dit GSP on 24-08... so I don't think it has something to do with that...

I deleted the second mission, made a copy of the first mission...

Made some changed (deleted in between points) lowered the gimbal 15 degrees and made curved corners...

Was able to fly the new mission without any problem.

I'm sure that I will use GSP more in the future...

This app is not suitable for me as I fly with a iPhone.

... yes you need a bigger screen then the one of a phone even on an iPad 4 mini it is not easy to change some setting (DJI has to work on some things).

Just flew a mission of more than 2500mtrs.

Would be nice if in the near future DJI will update this app and make it possible to "enter" a number instead of using sliders or + and - buttons... Sliders are to sensitive, using + and - buttons take much to long...

Yup, unfortunately it is only for iPad... DJI should develop GSPro for more devices...

You know, I've since had a couple more experiences with Hangar 360 hovering -- I'm pretty sure it's because I was in Sports Mode both times, and I keep forgetting that Hangar 360 -- and maybe also GSP? -- require the system to be in regular mode instead. Do you think you might also have been in Sports Mode when the hovering happened to you?

Nope, I'm absolutely sure it wasn't in Sports Mode...

Still struggling with GSPro... one of the options I can't get to work is "waypoint action". It says "n/a" and don't know how to change that

I tried it this afternoon. It still doesn't sync the flight records.

GSPro doesn't create flightrecord only flight data like DJI Thor said in post 3 of this thread...

In GS Pro, create a Waypoint Mission,
then select a Waypoint (waypoint color = blue)
On the right side in your mission parameter panel select 'Each point'
Go down to 'Waypoint action' click on the > and the panel moves to the left, bringing up
the 'Add Waypoints Actions' dialog
Touch 'Add Waypoint Actions' then a list of actions appear.
Hover, Photo Capture, Start Recording, Stop Recording, Aircraft rotation, Gimbal Pitch Rotation.

Select your action.
Continue until you are finished with that waypoint.
Proceed to next waypoint.

... pressing ">" doesn't move the panel to the left... therefore I'm stuck there... must be something simple I'm overlooking...

It is not just you. I am using an iPad Mini as well and am not able to use waypoint action.

I think it is just some glitch not letting the options window open. The option window opens for the End Mission options if you select "All Points" and I imaging it is the same type of options window. I wonder if it works fine on a larger iPad?

Nice tutorial, but I'm not able to open "Waypoint Action" menu... I can press it many times, nothing happens... Viewed your tutorial many times... still confused how to open that menu!

I solved the problem... Removed and re-installed the app... Now I'm able to open the Waypoint Action menu... seems that sometimes its better to remove and re-install then updating an app...

Glad to hear you got it sorted.
To Uninstall / Install a DJI app is more and more getting a common problem solver.

Alternative is Litchi and better!, for android and IOS

...I don't give up that easy...  I started this topic because I think GS Pro is a nice app with potential and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is using it and may have problems with it.

Now DJI developers can read about the things we stumble upon, fix them and make this app better... and don't forget, this app is for free!

Does anyone know of an app that works like GSP that is available to use on an iPhone 6+ for mavic platinum
