what do the options in the Channel Monitor screen of the RC assistant app mean?
i.e. X1: Mapping of the pitch control channel of the gimbal;
(to the right it shows a drop down menu displaying "null", channel 5,6 &7?)
i cant seem to get my gimbal to point straight down during flight, even after re calibrating....

I'm having the same issue. Can someone help?

Okay, nevermind, got it to work. The manual calibration didn't help. I had to use the Assistant software to calibrate X1 (it's a button by itself to Calibrate, and to Finish). That worked for me easy peasy.
