Hi, today I tested my theory, (I had also read somebody here).

I came out to Fly with my Spark.

I had 3 batteries with me.

1 About 50% charge (maybe even less)
2 100% charge (recharged Monday)

I put the first battery ... H60mt D110 Signal Loss, continuously ... RTH required.

The other 2 no problem in the same area ..

Now I have a doubt.

Batteries (they are not) Intelligent.

What I mean is this: DJI Mods tell your engineers to test batteries starting with 50% or recharge when they are 50% ---> 100%. I think they have this serious problem ..

Or the blame is that I did not use the OTG cable in 2.4ghz (first battery) I also had LTE on: D but I do not think it matters much.


Alert your engineers. To run tests.

Boys do not use 50% batteries or recharge 50%

Always go safe 15%

Can you please try that again for all batts with the same setup for the system?

I flew yesterday 3 batts to <10%.
With no problems.
Yes, I thought about beeing a bit carefull, after this big update.
Only after the first Batt-load did so well, I went to the (my) experience of the past weeks with how the Spark can or can not fly.

i use and stress test  my 4 battery  for 190minutes ,19 take off
in 11 hours.(15% low battery recharged ---->100% full)

this a signal map three fly today:
1 problem signal (43% battery at start)
2 test fly distance 800-900mt (96%battery at start)
3 test dronie rocket circle...pano180 shallowfocus (99% battery at start)

I haven't had any issues with my batteries regardless of the % left.  I never fly with a battery having less than 30%

So far I've had no issues with my batteries and I've used them at varying percentages. I've also never used OTG as it's not officially supported.

I checked all new firmware on 75% battery, no issues.

But this my situation.. tomorrow again test :-)

Its a bit obvious and also mentioned in the manual as far remember - always fly on fully charged batteries.

If you land on 50%, then start again - fine - its OK, but if you have battery 50%, and you you want to fly on it next day - do not do it. This 50% after one day will sink much faster than just after land and start.
Batteries always worked that way, nothing new.

If you have 30% and low battery warning - land soon as possible. Do not play below 30%, just land and switch battery.

But I'm just assuming that using <50% batteries creates unexplained signal loss.

Hmm, i don't think so.
I not tested the range, but i turned on few times a spark With battery even less than 50%.
I do not noticed signal losses or any strange things

Today I tried a 100% charged battery last Thursday ... I missed a signal close up, I turned everything off and turned on again, then went farther but I had a low battery......press  RTH...
Three more batteries charged tonight no problem !!!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am so regretful to say I am not able to read those data on the airdata. So I wanna confirm that the drone is flying good with all batteries, right? Or still have an issue with the first battery?

I just flew with 3 batteries , let them go down to 7 pct. Was swapping them , flying with them ,also under 50 pct. No problems here
