This video was recorded just south of Casper Wyoming. I parked my Phantom 4 in the sky looking west towards the oncoming shadow while I enjoyed watching the eclipse. The video is sped up 20x to help reduce boredom.

Very nice time lapse!   I had too many distractions on mine to be able to do one like that. I just had a few chunks where I went 16X.

Just edit your video using iMovie or whatever you prefer. I told it to speed up the original video 20x. I plan to upload the normal speed version as well. The oncoming shadow edge is impressive at normal speed as it travels at 1600 MPH.

Yup, I had 16x on some points of my video.

If you search YouTube you can find the eclipse as seen from some passenger jets. On those you can see the whole width of the shadow moving across the ground. Quite impressive.

Looking forward to seeing your other video.

Maybe you could play the boring bits at x10 and leave the shadow bits at normal speed to keep it interesting?

I think I would have looked North so that the shadow moved across the image rather than top to bottom, has anyone got a clip of that to see if it is better or worse ready for next time?

Looks like this worked quite well though, even played too fast...

I was pointed south on the post I linked above.

Here is the real time version. The drone was set to auto exposure so it is hiding much of the brightness change. I had tried to switch it to manual but I didn't realize you have to stop recording before you can do that (it would be nice if the app at least let me know why the manual button was grayed out).

You can lock the autoexposure actually while filming... I can't remember what button to push, but you can lock it..
