I have at this moment a Spark, and having trouble with the range...Is there the same problem with the Mavic out off US?

FCC mode = north america.   FCC mode has the highest output and allows for the highest energy gain on antennas.  

CE mode is europe mode and it's about half or a quarter of the power output of FCC mode, resulting in shorter ranges.   


im with you on this, its stupid.. but europe says they have issue with wifi spectrum being overcrowded and somethign about cancer (which isnt real) so all wifi based products that are certified for europe have to have lower output.. as if somehow how that stops overcrowding and prevents tumors... they should have opened more channels and mandated smarter switching tech instead.

yes occusync is within wifi spectrum.. just not 802.11 standard it is however 2.4Ghz band


edit: maybe im getting this little mixed up but yea.. europe will have reduced outputs, that is just how it works as of now.   but because it works in same spectrum as wifi i think dji were forced to limit output

Mavic Pro's max transmission distance of the controller is: FCC Compliant: 4.3 mi (7 km); CE Compliant: 2.5 mi (4 km); SRRC Compliant: 2.5mi (4 km); MIC Compliant: 2.5 mi (4 km) (unobstructed, free of interference); for WiFi mode is 80 m (distance), 50m (height) (unobstructed, free of interference). It is quite different with Spark.

Yes it is a bit diferente 0,5km vs 4km!...
I will wait for Mavic Pro 2.
