I have been talking with a number of you on here about using the Spark on a boat. Up until today I had not plucked up enough courage but it was such expectional weather that I knew I would regret it. Mine still can only fly manually (none of the Intelligent modes work due to an ongoing No Fly Zone issue which means Spark thinks its in a zone no matter where it is in the southern UK). Therefore I did some manual flying.
It all went pretty well, we launched and recovered by hand from the bow when at sea. We launched and recovered from the pontoon when in the marina. This gave an issue when recovering where Spark start to suddenly go off sideways when coming down (less than a metre) to the pontoon. I assume this is because the pontoon has mains electricity, lighting and boat power circuits and WiFi access point feeds embedded in it, therefore I managed to recover the situation by climbing back up and hand recovering.
Here are some pictures, I have video that needs editing first.
