Will the new battery and props fit the old Mavic?

The battery is the same, and the props fit the Mavic pro.
Props are £10 a pair on the store, but out of stock.

If you do a side by side comparison the only difference is the flight time(battery) and the props everything else is the same.  Is it worth it?

Yeah I also did the side by side comparison and they are EXACTLY the same drones. If the props do fit the current Mavic then upgrading the props will make your Mavic a new and improved Mavic Platinum lmao!

I would consider upgrading the props, but not in a hurry to order.  

Confirmed: Props and battery will fit the old Mavic.

i dont think this is a new model. i would say it is a facelift model

Certainly strange to release a new Mavic with so little changes. Not sure its worth the extra $100 for a new color, 3 min more of flight time, and a quieter flight, which is pretty quiet already. I say take the $100 and just get another battery.

We might expect the Platinum to eventually supplant the Pro when Pro stock is depleted. Whether the price will stay higher is an interesting question.

Honestly for only a decrease in noise (The noise of my Mavic Pro is not bad at all) and hearing that you can use the props on the pro I wouldn't be upgrading until a new model comes out with a better camera, 60 fps or something that changes the industry. And as battery wise, for only 3 minutes more, I don't see it being worth it as I have 4 batteries for my Mavic. But if it's the new batteries that are better, they look like hey will fit the current Mavic Pro, Maybe buying a couple batteries would be worth it. (If they're not more than $89 than the current).

Dumb question but how can we be notified of new products immediately? By the time I heard about this and the new P4 color.. everything was sold out. :-\

But the Mavic Pro can already shoot video now at 1280x720 with 120 fps.

Video Recording Modes:
C4K: 4096×2160 24p
4K: 3840×2160 24/25/30p
2.7K: 2720x1530 24/25/30p
FHD: 1920×1080 24/25/30/48/50/60/96p
HD: 1280×720 24/25/30/48/50/60/120p

The only real difference from reading DJI was they have ESC's for the motors that are more efficient at how they work and the props are changed and quieter obviously. They claim some improvement with putting the new props on the Mavic Pro but not a full 30 minuet like the Platinum can achieve. with that said I am really thinking about getting a set of the new props to try out

If you do a side by side comparison from the main page you will see that they are 98% identical.  Not enough change to upgrade for me.

How can we achieve the same quieter noise feature on the "old" mavic pro? What do i need to buy in order to make it quieter as the new one?

You need to buy the props when they are available but I still don't think it will be as quiet as the new one because of the new integrated ESC's for the motors they are probably using different algorithms

What I want to know is the battery new? What mah? or is it the same old battery
If it is now I can only see it being 4100 to 4200 mah versus stock 38

I don't think they are 'sold out', I think they are essentially not available yet.
Use the 'stock reminder' function.

Cool yea i see its the same battery....well same mah 3830. Yep new props here i come....in 4 to 6 months when they become available

Not quite the same. The new Mavic also has new ESCs.

I'd be interested to see how much of an improvement the new props will make to the normal Pro; I do find props do make a difference, and if the new props do reduce noise, I'd probably get them as I do want a quieter flight (live in a quiet area).

Refer to China website Platinum already open for preorder.  The delivery date is 30 Sept.

its a worthwhile upgrade for people who been looking into buying a mavic pro but have not bought in.   not a worthwhile upgrade for people who already have a mavic pro.   that's how i see it.  

same occusync system and thus same or similar range (allegedly)  

small bump in battery life (negligible for existing users)

same speeds

quieter operation (most useful)

unconfirmed:

weaker or stronger motors (greater or lesser pull power/wind compensation).

any changes to the camera/camera system (likely untouched)

Only body colour change, New Props and ESC (not motor) different.  So not worth at all for existing owner to change especially it cost USD100 more!

oh so hardware wise, just ESC then.  ya not worth it.  i will be getting me packs of those new props to test sometime though..   i have a theory that new props alone could make current mavic pro get 30 minutes of battery life in lab conditions.. and maybe little quieter, but i doubt it..      ESC can improve battery life but in the diagrams i seen switching from square to sine wave would not improve runtime or responsiveness, it would however definitely change loudness being perceived since going to continuous waveform not on off waveform.....
